Title: Our Track Record With Bigs
Post by: willie warrior on November 24, 2009, 07:30:09 AM
It is becoming more and more frustrating on how our recruiting of "bigs" has been working out the last few years.
Mbakwe: injuries and then transfers out
McMorrow: a total injury bust
Otule: two fractures in two years
Clark: seems to have big time legal issues
Fulce: not sure he would be considered a big, but due to so many other losses, he ends up as one; two years of injuries.

Combine the above with our other problems last year and this year, James, DJO and Bucyks, it is a wonder we can even field a team.

What is going on here. Perhaps we should get a special dispensation from the NCAA, and allow us to have 16 scholarships per year to make up for all the injuries.

if you go back a few more years, the saga continues.  The one that sticks out in my mind is Kinsella.  He had the potential to be a nice player but never saw enough court time.

Did somebody put a curse on our team?
