will update if I get a response...does anyone else know?
Good luck Jerel! Do it big baby
Be sure to enjoy the Moules e` Frites, Jerel, and wash it down with a Leffe Blonde.
Anywhere in Belgium is better than the azz end of Turkey. That being said, I am happy that both James and McNeal are finally cashing a paychecks.

Have you seen the pictures of the town that James is living in? Mersin, Turkey (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=Mersin%2C%20turkey&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi) looks like Miami. There are worse places to be :)
Hope Jerel likes waffles. I hear they're better there than at IHOP.

Yeah, if you are going to be in Turkey, the southern coast is the place to be.

Have either of you been to Turkey? Mersin is not Miami. There are some resorts in the vicinity but Mersin is a working-class port city. Saying that it is not too cosmopolitan, would be an understatement. It depends on what you want. If you want good night life and a world class city it is only 900+km (580 miles) to Istanbul.
The weather is nice there though.
On the other hand, there are a lot of world class cities a short drive or flight away from anywhere in Belgium. Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London, etc. etc. The food is great there as well. Not a hardship assignment.
I was in Antwerp for about 6 months on exchange and thought it was a fabulous city. Had pretty much everything you would want to do, and great access by train to the rest of Europe. (Not that 'Rel will be getting a Europass)

Dude, I live in Indiana. Everyplace with palm trees looks like Miami to me.
Im certain that the turkish league is the better of the two leagues. I would guess that the belgian league is pretty weak with some of the numbers ive seen average guys put up there. Also, i believe dee brown played there for a season?
The best leagues in europe are the greek, spanish, and italian leagues. I was hoping those guys would end up there, but good luck reguardless

Got to feel for him. He doesn't look especially happy to be there on that interview. It is a big adjustment (made it myself to Holland year's ago).
All the best to Jerel. Hopefully in time he will come to enjoy their excelllent food, beer, and chocolate!
Team-High 24 points and a W in game 1 for Jerel.

At the same time he needs to keep his head up and just keep going at it. If he has a sour attitude it won't help. I think he will be fine there, just a big adjustment as you said.
Box score and highlight link from his first game...
