Wow... Pinkston potentially back in the mix for MU! Good news.
"He's not 100 percent sure where he wants to go to school so rather than make a rush decision he'll just wait until the spring."
-----
Now, last Wednesday afternoon Buzz did say the recruiting period is only 7 days and that they only had 6 days remaining to sign kids in the early signing period.. of course, he was wrong and the period is 8 days and he had 7 days including today... but, in this case, sounds like Pinkston backed away from Tenn. for now and will wait until spring.. Buzz - GIVE HIM A CALL!
You have to wonder if Pearl told Pinkston that UT is about to get a commitment from Tobias Harris, so in turn he changed his mind. Who knows how this stuff works.
Its good to see we get a few more months to work on him, but I'm still not real optimistic
Great news. The longer the door stays open for Buzz to talk with Mr. Pinkston, the more I like our chances.

FYI, He will announce on Thursday. Looks like St. Johns is the frontrunner.
nyg, where you here that?
We'll know tomorrow late morning... I'm thinking Villanova.

My buddy who's a PITT alumni and an avid B-ball recruit fan. He is usually pretty good on these things.
Scout is claiming he'll announce tomorrow, with the likely choice of Villanova. They give the rest of the list as St. John's, UConn and West Virginia after that.
Rivals doesn't have anything about the announcement but talked to his high school coach on Monday and supposedly he had a list of MU, Seton Hall, St. John's, Tennessee and Villanova at that time.
Per NBE Basketball report, Pinkston committed to Villanova. No surprise. Next...
What next? There are hardly any decent bigs left. Why is it we cannot recruit some decent bigs?
Hopefully in three years Mbao will be "serviceable". Why do many other teams have a couple of "serviceable" bigs, but we struggle there?

there are approximately 1000000 threads devoted to this, I suggest looking there, and not rehashing the same discussion again.

They don't have heart conditions that end their careers early.

No surprise. Jay Wright has quite the program going.
As Buzz says, every day is a recruiting day. Never know when things are going to happen.
