Title: Fulce
Post by: Henry Sugar on November 17, 2009, 09:30:01 PM
Did he really only get six minutes?  What was the story there?

Offense did seem a little inactive when Fulce was in there.  However, after Hayward and Butler, Fulce is our next best defender in the frontcourt.  We really need to improve defensively right now.  Way too many transition baskets and open looks right now.

^^^ teal please.

He was good as a defender, but couldn't get it going offensively tonight.

Obvious to me that Buzz is going to do everything possible so that Maymon is ready to start at least by BE season. That will be at the expense of Fulce.

He was sent back into the locker room by Buzz during the pre warm ups and wasn't allowed to join in. Not sure what to make of it just throwing it out there.

Whats up with Maymon, only caught the second half but he just seemed uniterested.  Lunging at balls, standing around, etc.  I'm sure he'll turn it on but its a little concerning.  Like Buycks though, guy is tough.

If you say so...

But pux99mex...there definitely has to be a story there...
I hope everything works out.

He's hurt, again.  They had to drain fluid off his knee(not the repaired one) after the game.

My friend said he also saw Buzz tell Hayward that Fulce wouldn't play, but I didn't see it personally. When we saw Fulce in the starting 5 we thought we just misread the situation but when he got pulled REAL early in the first, we figured something was up. Still though, not sure what to make of it.

Knee problem and when he played he wasn't as active as he should be.  Buzz said 1 board in 6 minutes from Fulce is not good.

From Rosiak's game report:
"While Williams said Fulce has been hobbled this week after having a knee drained, he will have an added body Saturday in the form of 7-2 freshman Youssoupha Mbao, who returns from his two-game NCAA suspension."

Ya. Just stupid. I know a certain amount of discretion should be used by the reader, but I can say whatever I want and I should assume that the reader knows I'm joking? No. There's a reason the teal font is used, b/c online postings don't convey emotions or intent.

BMA725 - Do you know why Erik Williams did not get in the game?

He hasn't shown that he grasps the offense or is ready to play defense at this level, nor has he been consistently practicing hard.  Until he does, it's going to be tough to get playing time.

Given the source, I'll assume that this is not mere speculation.  Thanks.  I hope he comes around.  I was (and am) very excited about Williams' potential.  He is the freshman I was most excited to see.

BMA - Thanks, as always quality info, you really need your own message board.  Hanging at the Al, Superbar, and now "Stop speculating, this is what's up by BMA."

With Fulce nursing a knee, this is the time Erik Williams can get playing time, experience and show the world what he can do.  Kick it in gear Erik!

holy crap batman, its exactly what I said in the E. Williams thread... and it only took me logic and a minor understanding of the way Buzz operates to figure it out!
