Or so the article states...

I suspect this post will get little response because many others like myself have become almost numb to hearing about his success. Yet what he has accomplished, including reports like this, is simply astounding--especially given that he used to play basketball for Marquette.
This was Jordan's gift to him for signing

Someone help me out . . . what's the whole story with the gear being sold in the Spirit Shop versus what the team is wearing? The Converse logo on the gear in the Spirit Shop and online has to be the ugliest I've ever seen. When do we get the real goods?

Probably when the Spirit shop inventory and prebooked orders are gone! That's cash sitting on them there racks and shelves!
At the MSOE game, it looked like the team put a box patch with the jumpman logo over the ugly converse logo.
When you look at Wade's and Richardson's comments about how important the Jordan brand was to them. You have to think that recruits may have the same hopes in joining the Jordan Family and it may help recruiting more than people realize or recruits will ever admit. In a way recruiting is a lot about branding, Jordan's brand of apparel has to be considered the top of the basketball universe. I am very glad Marquette is a part of that.
They did put a patch over the logo on the on-court jerseys (via @muathletics). Apparently the Spirit Shop has to order inventory a year in advance so the switch to Jordan happened too late. Looking forward to seeing the new stuff next year!
Don't know where the patch was placed (probably white), but here are the photos from the MSOE game.
The Jordan logo is clearly on the shorts but not on the jerseys.

Someone PLEASE tell me where I can buy a pair of those shoes! They are sweet! 8-)
The patch was only on the warmups.
There never has been a brand logo on the jerseys, only the shorts. The ones sold in the spirit shop have the logo but the team has never had it on their jerseys.

Speaking of the shorts, all colors and sizes are currently in stock. They are wicked comfortable, I would reccomend anyone picking up a pair, also since they will probably only be around for one more season. I would reccomend going very small on the size. I ordered the small, and they are still a bit long on me, and I am 5'10".

Lets see, featured in commercials with Jeter, dates Gabby Union, referenced in a Jay Z song...oh and won a NBA Title.
We put Doc Rivers on the BOT (and retired his "jersey") b/c he was on TNT; what are we going to do for Wade...Provost? President? Alpha Phi sweet heart?
D. Wade's new Jumpmans told Varejao to go back to Brazil.
It will be one of the top 2 dunks of the entire season.

+1
That's easily on par with melo's dunk earlier this year...D is the man, Varejao is a punk
I promise not to get off topic anymore...but for those of you who want to see that dunk, here's the link.

Siiiiiiiick!
He really excels at shifting directions.
wade's dunk made my day
I watched that on TV live . . . that was so sick. The whole time he was dribbling down the court I was watching Lebron kind of stalking him from behind. I instinctively just stood up from my couch when that happened. Awesome.
