Title: Impressive Night for Mathews
Post by: avid1010 on November 06, 2009, 07:44:13 PM
I still think I'm missing the post, but couldn't find it noted on here anywhere.

25 min., 5-8 shooting for 15 points with 3 rebounds and 2 steals is a big night for Wes.

Yeah, it was here.  It's kind of confusing, but they keep moving the threas to the Superbar (probably because there's like 3 a day)...maybe we should just have a single "Marquette players in the NBA" thread on this board and keep all the discussion under it?

Doesn't make any sense.  Threads about former MU players in the NBA get regulated to a board that most people don't pay attention to, but threads about the former coach get to stay?  Seems like a double standard to me.

The former coach is still a Division 1 college head coach and this is a college basketball site. My guess is when IU cans him and he moves to the NBA (as an assistant) he'll mostly be ignored here.

Nah, then we'll just say, we knew it all along. Nice to see T-Cubed had them well prepared for Grace College Thursday night. Last score I saw was 48-48.

I kind of agree, but it's not like MU is playing that school this season or anytime in the future. He's not a big east coach.

What happens at IU has less to do with MU basketball than what Wes does in the NBA.

So because Levance Fields wasn't good enough to make it to the NBA he's officially "college" and stays on the other board?   ?-(

This is a Marquette site, not a general college basketball site.  The forum description specifically says that Hangin at the Al is for all things related to Marquette basketball, but somehow former MU players don't count as related to MU basketball while the former coach does.

Uhh .. I'm not sure .. but I didn't move the threads.  I did combine threads though, as there have been multiple Wes threads.  Don't need one for every game he plays. -- So I'm guessing that the one I moved it to was from one board versus the other.

Honestly, I rarely even notice what board a thread is on.  I use "All unread topics" exclusively, so I have no idea what board a post is on unless I look.
