I have written here a few times over the past few years that Wesley Matthews was clearly more "NBA" than Jerel McNeal or Dominic James, and that of the three, Matthews would be the one to wear the colors of an NBA team.
Many here, including some who profess great experience in and expertise on collegiate basketball, said I was wrong and that I do not understand what is needed to make it in the NBA.
Many here said McNeal was not only going to be drafted -- I said not -- and that he would go on to big things in professional basketball in this country.
I would love to see McNeal and James prove themselves elsewhere and one day be back in this country and playing in the NBA. It could happen.
But for the moment, it feels kinda nice being one of those who, despite ridicule from certain others, said all along that Matthews possesses the stuff of a professional basketball player, and would be the one from his Marquette teams to make it in the NBA.
You want a cookie?
This will go over well.
So a friend of mine is playing golf in Scotland and after struggling badly on the first three holes he crushes his drive on number four tee. As he hands the caddy his driver he says "That's as good as I can hit it." To which his caddy replies " Let me be the second to congratulate you laddie." After your rather lengthy self pat on the back allow me to say the same.
Clap........................................... clap............................................... clap............................................. :-\

Hopefully in your life you experience some more success so that you don't have to come on to a message board and gloat anonymously...
Can we change this thread to the "MU Avenue Pissing Match"?
With all due respect, No one cares.

I think everyone is missing the total genius of MU Avenue's post.
in all honesty, he has a point. there are so often debates, fights, etc. on here, but very few resolutions. so i guess if what he claims is true, then he 'won' the argument.
You're the man.
You're on your way to quickly usurp Hayward, PRN, and Chico for MU Scoop's Poster of the Year! LOL!
Have you got an inkling on what the market will do tomorrow or what lottery numbers to choose?
Seriously, Ave. just saw the obvious. Wes has what it takes including the NBA body. The other 2, unfortunately, have too many holes in their game. Congrats Ave.
This thread should be stickied for posterity.
Can I have your autograph?
