For those of you who attended Marquette Madness, and for those who will be attending the Hauted Hoops Scrimmage, what are your expectations coming into this scrimmage. What are you expcecting to see? What are you expecting from the players, both collectivly and individually? What improvments are you expecting from the last scrimmage? Or am I completely off base and this scrimmage will be like any other pick up game? Interested to hear the expectations Marquette fans have coming into this scrimmage.....
Speaking of the scrimmage, does anyone know when the actual scrimmage starts? I can't make the fish fry festivities.
I haven't been in a couple years, but they used to start it around 7-ish, which I always thought was way too late. It was such a great event, but they ask people to bring little kids all dressed up and then they run the scrimmage way too late and too long.
Thanks, PRN. I've been to 3 out of the last 4, but can never remember when they start.
The last few years the Golden Eagle has led all of the children onto the court at halftime for a costume parade.
Be sure to bring your children!

I heard Crean was going to do that this year. But, it might be too scary, so leave the tots at home.

The flyer on my fridge says 7pm.
Mmmmmmmmm.
Fish fry Fridays....
If you're not going to the meal, can you still go to the scrimmage? and if you're only going to the scrimmage, do you still have to pay?
In the past, we've always been able to walk right into the AL without paying.

Correct. One side of The Al is set aside for the Fish Fry attendees. The rest of the gym is open seating and free.
Is this something mostly for alumni and their kids, or do lots of students attend this event?
There will be some students, not many.

I agree there are not many students, but the event does seem to draw the pretty serious fan (and their kids in costume) who may stay away from Marquette Madness. The entire event is done pretty well. The fish fry in the AMU is nice in that there are players scattered throughout the hall, mingling with the fans. Two years ago, we sat with Jerel and he was very personable. I would assume Buzz will speak briefy about the team and progress so far in practice. The group from the fish fry walks in mass over to the nearby Al for the scrimmage.
I'm open now, and am thinking about swinging by the Al...think it said 7pm start for HH. Is that when the scrimmage start or festivities? When does it go until?
Thanks for your help!
