Title: Louisville-Villanova
Post by: Big Papi on February 03, 2007, 11:46:37 AM
This is one very ugly game.  Neither one deserves a win up till this point.  Still in the first half under three minutes left Nova up 17-14.  Nothing but bricks.  Go Nova.

Nova 22-20 at half.  Ughhh.

West Virginia up 6 at half at the Hall.

There are 5 teams bunched up after Pitt.  Would be nice for some of them to start losing.  Best case scenario today would be a victory for us, Nova and Seton Hall but as long as we win I will be very happy.

I don't usually root for Louisville anyway, but I'm a huge 'nova fan today.  Need to get some breathing room at the #2 spot (and, we need to win today...)

So Much for Marquette and Pitt being "clearly" above the rest...

Coached my son's grammar school game (an ugly loss this morning), then flipped back and forth between UConn-Rutgers and Villanova-Louisville while waiting for our game to start.  Wasn't feeling Dr. Naismith's game by the time we tipped off.

I don't think we are head and shoulders above Georgetown, Pitt, Providence, Nova or Louisville, but to this point we haved exhibited the toughness it takes to win games better than any of them.  This team, despite  its flaws, is really growing on me.
