Media Day, Part I
Sorry for the delay in posting, since there was obviously plenty of good stuff to come out of media day at the Al McGuire Center on Wednesday.
I'll give you the transcript of coach Buzz Williams' opening news conference, and follow up on Thursday with some 1-on-1 stuff with both returning and new players.
Here's Buzz:

Todd-
I'm trying to make sense of this statement: Dwight Burke got zero career throughout his career, partly because he couldn't score a basket.
Although many of you feel Rosiak is a God-send to journalism, a simple spell-check would pick up the following...
But what he did on on a daily basis for our team was incredibly important as a leader.
Every player is going to be in a position that they've never been in in their entire career.
He's a better player, but who he is as a person, a year ago at this time when we took team pictures and who he is today, he's aged abotu 14 years.
If you were to ask ME the first 10 minutes of his first workout, I would have ttaken him to your car. I would have escorted him there.
Todd- Maybe by Thursday morning you can fix all of your typos currently out on your blog.
Scares me that it sounds like Acker is going to be our starting point guard for the year.

At least he got a life-sized photo.......
I'm only part way through, but man did this little quote make me laugh...
"But who replaces Dwight? I don't know. If I'd have had enough forethought, I might have redshirted Dwight last year. Brought him back. Then you guys would have been talking about how solid we are in the frontcourt."

On the upside, now we know that Rosiak doesn't have to run his blog entries past an editor before he posts them.

There, I fixed it for you.
"Now, his strength is similar to yours, and that's not to be negative to you, that's to be negative to him."
This quote is hysterical. Buzz defines brutally honest.
As far at the starting five, my guess is that it will be Acker, Buycks, Otule, Maymon and Lazar.
DJO looks like he will be behind. Erik Williams wasn't even mentioned in the article. Neither was Joe Fulce. My guess is all three will be in the rotation.

Love the picture of Maymon.
And those shorts are so long they almost reach the tops of the guys socks.
You would think that TR would proofread his own column/blog. They teach you that in high school. I would be embarrassed if I wrote something for public distribution that had that many errors.

hdog1017 - This is probably your fourth post critical of Todd in the last four days. Todd does a great job overall. I like the vast majority of people appreciate his articles and updates.
For someone in his profession to have that many errors is absolutely appalling. Grade school teaches you to proof-read. When in the writing/newspaper/journalism profession, 1-2 mins of spell-check should be an absolute given.

Your last 4 posts have been bashing Todd too.
I contend that you're the same person as hdog1017.
No. I've posted minimally on this board. I don't have time to balance 2 accounts & have better things to do with my life then something such as that.
I find Rosiak's lack of professionalism an insult to successful folks in his industry.
You shouldn't waste your time researching what people post about.

As this is described as a transcript, you cannot say if the responsibility for the poor grammar lies with Rosiak or with Buzz.
Blogs are expected, by their nature, to be unstructured and "imperfect". So lighten up already.

Clearly both you and hdog are recent journalism graduates with mounting debt and zero job prospects. Must sting majoring in a dead field. But keep up your criticism, it really adds to the overall conversation, and clearly it makes you both feel so much better to zing a writer.

True, blogs are not supposed to be held to the same journalistic integrity as newspaper/magazine columns. However, unless Buzz developed a stuttering problem, these errors can be attributed to the author of the blog.
While I'm grateful that the Journal Sentinel still employs a beat writer dedicated to the Warriors in a time when newspapers are losing money left and right, I find it dissappointing that something written for distribution has so many obvious errors.
Also, I better quickly sign out and then sign back in under my other accounts to back my opinion.
I do so love the "ignore" function.
No need to reply. I won't see it. ;D
dbwarriors and hdog are a couple of jerk offs. They should be thanking Rosiak for bringing them information, not criticizing. Has it occured to you that he's trying to get stuff posted as quickly as possibly so that people like you can read about the Warriors? Has is further occured to you that the JS doesn't have enough staff to edit blogs with limited readership?
Don't read it if you're going to complain. This guy probably makes sh*t and he's got guys like you two doofuses going over thing with a magnifying glass. Get a life

So you don't post much, mostly because you have better things to do with your life. But bashing Todd is a worthy cause? Good work dude. You're clearly a master of the universe.
