Every Brewer fan can now end this argument with, "Oh yeah, at least we didn't declare bankruptcy."
And in doing so you would show yourself to be a dumba$$.
When the Tribune owned the team, the Cubs were the only thing that made money for the Tribune. Their newspapers and television stations are what lost the money. The Cubs are declaring bankruptcy as a legal maneuver to clear the team from any future liability in the Tribune bankruptcy.
So if you want to make fun of the Cubs for bringing in far more money than the Brewers will ever see, go ahead.
Agree with TT. This isnt anything significant. Headlines make it look worse than it is.
And yes, I know all of this and recognize the Cubs were not the cause. Still, a little juvenile fun gets me through my day sometimes.
The sad thing is this is all we have without playoff baseball.
2 more days until madness.....
The first thing I thought about, when Holliday tried catching the last out of the game with is nuts was..."Man I wish that would've happened to Soriano."
Yeah, but now the Cubs get out from under Soriano and Bradley's contracts...LOL!
Happy 6th Bartman day!

No they dont.
I think he's being sarcastic. There was one Cubs fan awhile back that actually thought/argued this.
