Title: Question about the Old Spice Classic
Post by: SCdem@MU on October 09, 2009, 01:37:31 PM
My original plans for Thanksgiving blew up and now I am thinking about making the trip down to Orlando. For those that are going, are you buying all session passes or only buying individual session tickets for the first two games and then planning on trying to buy another individual session ticket for the third game?

It cuts the ticket cost in half if you buy three individual session tickets rather than buying the all session pass, but I've never been to one of these early season tournaments so I'm not sure how well they sell.

If you have gone to one of these in the past is the all session ticket worth it or is it easy to trade/buy other individual session tickets as the tournament progresses?

If it was just me going I'd probably buy the all session ticket and watch a ton of basketball, but the wife will be traveling with me and she will want to do other things besides watch basketball.

I purchased the booster tix directly from Disney.  They are good for session 1 and session 3 and either session 5 or 6.  I believe it was $65 per tix.

Thanks for the tip. I thought they sold out of those already because there were none available on ticketmaster, but apparently you have to call the number that is buried in the press release (407-939-1529).

I'll give them a call tomorrow. Thanks!

As of yesterday afternoon, they still had booster tickets.

Also, either on this board or that other board, I saw the alumni assoc is looking to have an event.  I do not believe it will include the bball tix.

Will non-alumni fans (with a MU freshman) be welcome?

I hate to report, but it looks as if the event has been cancelled due to limited turnout.  Much thanks to our Tampa club for putting this together.
