Is it contagious?????
Maybe he should have choose a basketball only school. At least he wouldn't get injured fighting with a football player. :)
No worries, he was a Crean washout anyways.
I'm working in KC this week and saw this on the local news... Out 3-4 weeks with a dislocated left thumb. Truly sad.

What else would you expect from a Full Qualifier From Catholic High School? Bill Self should limit the number of those he recruits.
He did some damage to his facebook account too

That should be teal...the kid is an incredible player
Chicos, just wondering, since you love to brag that you went to KU for grad school and that they're one of your other teams, how do you feel about having a "thug" like this on the Jayhawks? Should Self limit the number of players he recruits out of high school?
So what... a fight over a girl. While I wouldn't have talked crap to people over facebook, what's the big deal? He's a great player for a #1 team and he may conduct himself like a fool, but at least he was using his fists.
Found this as well:

The guy sounds like a complete Douche....aite.
It seems he's at least receiving a quality education at KU. Point plankn.
My girlfriend got a chance to talk to Tyshawn Taylor this weekend at the KU-Duke football game. Ironically, Tyshawn and half the basketball team were at the game...they must have been planning their "Tuesday" attack. 8-)
Anyhow, Tyshawn was nice enough to take a moment to speak with my lady...he even had some nice things to say about Marquette.
Not sure about you guys...but I've been in plenty of fisticuffs over women. Hopefully, Tyshawn learns from this.

Wow, class act that one.
Glad we missed on him.

Really? Dude is going to be in the association in the next two years.
Unreal. First the deal last night.. now today the squads fight again?!?! I guess that's how real g's do it.
Update II includes:
"A fight broke out among football and basketball players this morning after one of the Morris twins pushed a football player down stairs behind Budig Hall... players from both teams began throwing punches and shouting racial slurs at each other at 9:48 a.m."
I wish I was Tyshawn's facebook friend.. I need to get up on these new terms like point plankn. I'm sure things get quite boring in Lawrence, KS, but geez...
Was there digital penetration involved?

More effective with old technology. Only film was involved.

Not only that but I'm sure the original poster never once got into with another guy over a girl. College hijinx at its finest. Poor choice for such a high profile player but at least he's not criminal enough to rape a girl.
Later that afternoon, Taylor posted, "n-----s be muggin me ... you know I'm mugging back." The altercation occurred about two-and-a-half hours later, the Journal-World reported.
That is from the incomparable Lil' Wayne's "Always Strapped"
We could really use Taylor right about NOW!

For what? Someone mean muggin you son? That little kid a joke of a person and if he was currently on our team I'd want him gone. Pathetic.
We could use him on the basketball court... and I'm more than willing to give cats with a troubled past a chance... and I think Marquette is an excellent place to get your stuff together. But, when you're throwing bolos with other athletes... and throwing them like such a sissy that you mess up your thumb... and then you boast about it publicly? Enough. All the best, Tyshawn, but glad you're not on our campus.

If he was at MU he wouldn't have gotten into this trouble
1) No football team
2) No hot girls to fight over
;D
Did he come from a JC ?

No, but of the 6 players involved in the incident....two came from prep schools and one from a JC....all three were not qualified out of high school. Not sayin, just sayin.

Police reports have ranged from 30-40 to 100 people in one of the several fights... 6 isn't the story. Sherron has some beautiful quotes, the stud that he is. If 20% of the recorded pictures and videos that exist out there become public, KU is in big trouble. These people 'represented, aite'... one of the many problems is that they represented against fellow 'jayhawks' or whatever they are. Definitely a couple of days for the birds (the fact that it spills over to multiple days and multiple 'official releases' from people representing the school is extra disgraceful).. I'm curious if KU will suspend young idiots for throwing punches in front of the union... I know what my response would be, but.. at the end of the day, point plankn, ya heard me? We hard in lawrinse kunsuz

You are correct. I should have said, of the 6 student athletes involved (the ones mentioned in the police reports). To your point, there were more than 6 but I was referencing just the
playasHaving attended KU, I can assure you that many of the locals are probably screaming. Lawrence had kind of a love hate relationship with the university...an interesting twist. The town was reliant on the school for revenue but that didn't mean everything was always kosher. Kansas is a conservative state, but they love winning, too, so I'm sure a lot of looking the other way has been going on. But this Jayhawk and Jayhawk violence is beyond bizarre. Put them all in Allen Fieldhouse, strike up the band, waive the wheat and sing Rock Chalk Jayhawk. And then by all means suspend, punish, etc to your hearts content. No need for this stuff.
"Real ****as do real things" is right from a rap song as well.
Maybe he should listen to more Taylor Swift.
If a "regular student" posted on Facebook that he was going to be getting in a fight, then started essentially a brawl, what do you think the reaction would be?
Pathetic. Should be suspended.
Gotta ask... WTF does "point plankn" mean?

Gotta ask... WTF does "point plankn" mean?
I was looking around for that yesterday and it's the first time those two words have been used together in the history of the internet. The word "plankin" has been used to refer to "chillin" according to www.urbandictionary.com but with only 10 'up' votes for that definition it may just be a group of friends trying to start a new term.
I'm assuming it was a typo of "point blankin." Which either means what you think it means, or it's a gang from Toronto. The Lox (he sings in a hippity hoppity music band associated with the Ruff Ryders). Lyrics from "Recognize": Don't get it twisted y'all/ Ayo, I give it to you point blankin your moms place/So like point break with a mask on with presidents face
Either way, if you start saying "point plankin" on your facebook status updates you will immediately be awesome. Aite?
Thanks. I think I will add it to the signature line on my work emails.

Seriously, I sometimes wonder what some of these people who post here did during their 4 years of college. There is definitely some sanctimony going around. I'm not at all ashamed to admit that while in college I drank, sometimes smoked pot, got in fights and other nonsense most 18-22 year old guys get into. I don't know why people are surprised when kids get caught doing kid stuff. Its often just part of the growing/maturing process.

Sounds like how many Milwaukeeans feel about Marquette, or at least non-basketball playing Marquette students. I always laughed when I was called a "rich kid" just because I went to MU.

As did I. When I told people back home (Fox Cities area) I was lambasted for not going to UW. I was told that MU was full of rich snobby kids.
I made it a point to go back and visit the teacher who said that to me and told his class that was a misconception and that most people I met were not snobs. Were some rich? Yes, but there are PLENTY of rich kids at UW.

Amen Avenue Commons! I'll be back in Milwaukee this weekend nine years removed from graduating from MU, celebrating the 40 year reunion of Marquette's Rugby program. I think I'm going to drink, smoke pot and get into fights for the hell of it! Hopefully I don't post anything incriminating to my facebook while I'm blacked out. Aite?!?
