Title: Carson Derosiers decision
Post by: strobl2 on September 15, 2009, 06:41:41 PM
I just looked at the article on the main page of the Marquette scout site. It said that Carson is nearing a decision soon. Does anyone know when he will make his decision?

Hopefully in about 10 days when he's visiting next weekend.

This would be such a great get. If Buzz was able to land Carson it would make my summer. Then he could focus his energy on landing Blue to make one of the best recruiting classes since this last year.

Don't get me wrong, this kid would be a great get for Buzz; but the ESPN report on him is that he doesn't play well with his back to the basket and doesn't like contact.  He sounds like another version (albeit, probably a better one) of what we already have committed in Monterale Clark.

I'll be happy either way, but I'd much rather see us land Maurice Walker to solidify our interior.

http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=44329&season=2010&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncb%2frecruiting%2ftracker%2fplayer%3frecruitId%3d44329%26season%3d2010

Throw in a Vander Blue or Cameron Clark, and this could be one of the best recruiting classes in the nation!

Any updates on Walker and when he plans on making his decision?

My hope is for a class of one more big (either Walker, Black, or Desrosiers) Clark, Jones, Clark and Blue.  5 man class I think the jury is out on Fulce.

This could have already been posted, but I saw it on SI.com this morning...
Carson will be on Arizona State campus this weekend and will attend the ASU football game Saturday night.

Hopefully he doesnt get caught up in the fervor and pagentry of ASU vs. UL-Monroe...

If he leaves ASU without committing, I like MU's chances.

All that football excitement will certainly turn him off - he needs to be at a basketball school!   Anyway, Marquette is a much better university for real.

ASU has been on him for two years.    Sendek was reportedly pushing hard for a commitment this weekend.    This time, no news is good news.

See if you can guess which one was an MU girl.

You should to a lookup of the ASU cheerleader who decided to wear her uniform while doing a few "movies" last year.  Not appropriate to link here if you know what I mean

We should do an analysis of STD's per student and post that.

Not sure about that, just because we have less hot people doesn't mean we have less sex. I would be willing to bet MU has as much sex per capita as ASU, difference is the type of girls the guys are doing :)

Unless Marquette has significantly changed in the 20 years since I have been there, I can say that this is definately inaccurate.

UCSB would probably win that category hands down. ASU would probably be 2 or 3 on that list.

This might be the most ridiculous comment ever on this board. ASU probably had more sex per student or professor during finals last year than Marquette had during the last Halloween weekend. (which was generally the craziest weekend in terms of random hook ups when I was at Marquette).

Why not choose a LARGER university like Ohio State ....

Wow...

Didn't realize ASU was that BIG..

Had to turn this into a "size" debate didn't you?

Actually, the current debate is what school has the most sex on a per capita or per student basis.

On a per student basis, I think Ohio University would actually beat Ohio State. Ohio U would probably be in my top 5 nationally and certainly get my vote for top prize in the midwest.

Yes, many times.  I'd put it right up there with San Diego State for very attractive co-eds in combination with a severe lacking of intellect.  A combination that is rather enticing for a young man.

Not anymore, UCSB is a very good school, tough to get into and the partying has gone way down.  I have a gal working for me right now that is gaucho...beautiful woman but very much not the partying type.  That place has changed a lot since the days when I was a perspective student.

SDSU, Chico State, ASU, I'd put way way ahead of UCSB these days.

I almost went to Ohio U for graduate school....lots of partying, but major granolas if you ask me.  I took a weekend visit there and I'm glad I didn't attend.  IU was much better...so was KU.   ;D

Yeah, but all of those school also have a high % of commuter students, which lowers the overall craziness and random hook ups that occur on a given night/weekend.

UCSB, with 90% of the student body on campus or in near campus apartments is still probably the place to go on any given weekend if you are looking for a one-night stand that you may literally never forget.

True, but they only have 17,000+ undergrad and have that reputation, which is pretty remarkable when you consider all of the other schools on the various party school lists are at least twice that size.

Miami Ohio could also be up there as well, and has some of the best looking women that you will find in the Midwest.

Not at all.  The question was why ASU or Wake?  I gave my answer which included they are both NCAA coaches.

If the question was why MU, I would have said Buzz was a NCAA tournament coach.  I merely answered the question.
