Title: Burke is ready to get paid.
Post by: MU B2002 on September 04, 2009, 11:01:39 AM
Props to Dwight for the contract with a pro team in Uruguay.  Wonder why Todd didn't include that in his update.   ;)

Good to see another Marquette guy getting paid to play, even if it is not in a well known league.

What, do they pay him in goats or something?   ;)

In all seriously, Montevideo is supposed to be a real nice city.  If I could get paid to play basketball there, I certainly would.

I hope Burke took Spanish as his foreign language elective.

Seriously, does anyone have any idea what a basketball player in Uruguay gets paid?  I didn't even know they had a professional basketball league there.

Montevideo is a great town, nice beaches close by, great steaks from the pampas and great seafood,  very European and very close to Buenos Aires a  cosmopolitan city with excellent infrastructure and entertainment. Also Brasil is close by and the Mocas de Ipanema girls from Rio beaches, are a short flight away. Brasil is booming and Argentina because of agrucultural products and mineral resources is also strong with lots of Americans moving there. Great place to be while the USA suffers thru hi unemployment and a recession approaching a depression. Good luck to Burke and Manda Brasa (raise hell). Try the contra filet at the El Gaucho restaurant - the steak size is cut according to your size and weight and try the morcilla.Boa sorte, good luck.

Burke's interview with SportsBubbles regarding Uraguay.

Also, kind of interesting:

If Dameon Mason hadn't transferred out, Burke might not have ever been a Warrior.

I hope everyone realizes how much MU looks like little bitches when you keep taking pot shots about all the little dumb azz things that Rosiak doesn't post in his blog.   He posts all the real info, all you freaks with no life can update us on if Dwight friggin Burke is on a Uruguayan team.

The initial post is from a month and a half ago, and I think the poster was referencing an article posted about the three amigos post-collegiate plans.  There have been some pretty lame criticisms of Rosiak's work lately but I don't think this was one of them (don't think it was really intended to be a criticism either, given the winking smiley).

Correct.

I also think the recent trend of bashing Todd's work is lame.

good for Burke. I always had a soft pot for him. he got ripped on all the time, with good reason. but i felt that was a hard worker and never really got any credit. Dont get me wrong Dwight was not good, even buzz said it at the basketball banquit last year. however lets give him a pat on the back.

I care about Rosiak and Burke.

It's just that I'm still waiting for Rosiak to post the link to Burke's signing. ;)
