MU Specialty Camp II
Due to previous work commitments, I was unable to watch any of the competition at MU's Specialty Camp today at the Al McGuire Center.
I was able to procure a list of attendees, however.
The name that jumps right out is Madison Memorial's Vander Blue. There were a number of other big-time talents in the house as well, however.

He's coming tomorrow.
He was at IU's Elite Camp today.
Can anyone give some clarity on what exactly happens at these types of camps?
Is Buzz running them? Lots of scrimmages? Can current and/or former MU players attend?
Just kinda curious.
Thanks.

From Rosiak's blog about the camp in June:
QuoteEach team played four games on Saturday night after a full day of stations, skill work, conditioning, testing, tours and the like.
It's potential recruits only.

Why the lack of big players? Weren't any invited, or don't we have anyone to work with them?

5 guys 6'8" & over. If Buzz wants guys who can get out and run, I'm guessing he won't be going after the biggest dudes available.
There's a big in there named Iyad Assad from the Class of 2012. He goes to school at Greenfield where i coach the big guys. He's 6'10 and about 235. I think hes somewhere around the 10th best player in his class for the state. He's raw but can be taught. I dont think he's this level of a player, because he is so raw. I would just like to know what Buzz and other coaches thought of him.

Otule was raw. Mbao is raw. Please give me something well-done.
I'll settle for Medium Raw at this time

JP Tokoto
While I would LOVE to see us land Tokoto, we are up against real heavyweights and in all honesty it looks like this kid can go anywhere he wants to. I think Buzz should continue to recruit him but I sure wouldn't throw all my eggs into that basket.
Tokoto just visited Duke and UNC. Duke offered and UNC told him they were very interested, will visit him to see a game this year and invited him to the Duke/UNC game. UNC told him they follow the guidelines of the NABC proposal and will not offer anyone in the class of 2012 until after June 15.
