It also says that there will be many special guests... can you say Tom Crean? Shaq?
It just so happens that I get out of my last meeting in Oak Lawn at 5PM tomorrow... I'll be there.
Wade Taping "Homecoming" in Chicago Plus other Links

Want to go see a taping of ESPN's "Homecoming" series with none other than Dwyane Wade (http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/men_s_basketball/dwyane_wade)? Well, they are taping tomorrow night in Chicago and can accommodate 600 more guests. Details are below (HT: MU Athletic Dept)

Plus, sorry about lack of posting, but here are a few other quick links
7'2" Center Youssoupha Mbao was declared eligible by the NCAA Clearinghouse (http://www.jsonline.com/sports/goldeneagles/53261217.html). Temper this a bit, however, because he still needs his amateur status cleared as well. People are also still waiting to hear on Cadougan's eligibility as well.
In addition, Marquette secured a verbal 2010 commitment from Jamail Jones (http://www.jsonline.com/sports/goldeneagles/53364927.html). Jones is a highly rated (Top 75) recruit that moves the team one step closer to being comprised entirely of interchangeable 6'6" players (kidding)
Speaking of Wade, he's doing a partnership with Marquette in support of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee (http://www.gomarquette.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/081909aaa.html). What is cool is that Marquette is providing up to three full-tuition scholarships annually to winners of BCGA Youth of the Year program. I'm not exactly clear what Wade is doing as part of this partnership except "promoting it", but his name certainly helps add value.
Go to the "Homecoming" taping!

One can have many meetings of many types in Oak Lawn with their 56,000 residents. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oak_Lawn,_Illinois
Why do you ask?
I'm meeting with a client to align financial actions w/ their intentions. Then maybe I'll go pick D-Wade up as a client!
Tom Crean was in attendance and will be on Saturday!

Yea, why wont they just ignore the impact that Crean had on Wade. What's the point in even discussing it?
When will this air on TV? I would love to watch it?
Not until April according to my friend who went.
At one point Wade was asked now that he's won a gold medal and NBA title what's left. The crowd all yelled for him to come to the Bulls. I wonder if they'll cut that.

The taping lasted from 7-9:15 and was a pretty cool experience. It will air sometime in April. It's going to be a real cool show. Lot's of cool clips on the court Wade used to play at downtown along with Richards, MU and Heat highlights. Along with new teamate and fellow south sider Quintin Richardson, his family, and MU teamates were there. Tom Crean indeed was there and was asked a few questions. He had the most tan skin I've ever seen on a human being. One funny part was when they were showing highlights... it was when Dwyane hit a tough shot against the Bulls... everyone booed... Wade laughed. He said the best shot he ever hit was against the Bulls and the crowd booed. I was surprised at how funny Wade was. I could post some pictures or video I took. Don't know if it's possible on this site though.
Was also there, had a great time! Even got to chat with Rick Reilly a bit. Wade is a pro in front of the cameras, told some great stories, and got a couple good lines in. Crean, Buckley, and Barone were there, along with Joe Chapman, Terry Sanders, and Robert Jackson.
The show will air in April apparently, can't wait to see the finished product.
Was there along w/ MUfan12...definitely a great event to get to take part in. A lot of focus on his relationship with his mother and the struggle that they have gone through as a result of her drug addiction - i am curious to see how much of that story actually makes it because they probably talked about it for at least 1/4 of it.
They had a great segment of all Marquette clips that brought back some tremendous memories. Joe Chapman, Terry Sanders, Rob Jackson and Tim Buckley were all there - also very happy to see that Trey Schwab was there in the front row with them as well (or rather, I was almost positive that it was him). I was a little surprised that there was no one from MU administration (ie Fr. Wilde) in the building considering the backflips they needed to do just to get Dwyane into Marquette.
The tan one showed up later than all the other special guests, hobbling in on crutches. When he was introduced by Reilly, it almost seemed like the applause was less than that given to the others who were questioned...that might just be me thinking that though.
Dwyane is a class act and a great showman - he had some great quick responses to some of Reilly's questions and the faces that he makes in reaction to Reilly are hilarious. He did some hilarious impressions of Shaq as well.

Typical Barone.
Always trying to use Wade to further his career.
What a douche.

Better than Robert Jackson who uses Dwyane to further his lack of a career. All he does is hang in Wade's posse.
In the DVD,
The Undeniable Rise of DWade, Dwyane is on a Chicago playground with his brothers (actual blood brothers) and Robert Jackson. Absolutely no reason for RJax to be there.
