Not bad press to have...
Wisconsin Tom: As a huge Wisconsin Badger fan, I had the privilege of seeing my boys beat Pittsburgh at the Kohl Center earlier this year in probably the best atmosphere I've seen in Madison since the Badgers moved from the much cozier (and louder) confines of the Field House. That being said, the game paled in comparison to the Wisconsin-Marquette game in Milwaukee. There was a palpable buzz emanating from the crowd outside the Bradley Center that kept growing the closer you got to the court. Every possession had the feel of the last two minutes of a Final Four game. I highly, highly recommend you start making plans to attend the next rivalry game in Milwaukee in two years. If anyone ever questions why you are such a big sports fan, just take them to that game and no further explanation will be necessary.
Joe Lunardi: I think pretty much all the on-campus Big Ten arenas are great for atmosphere and typify the college game. Cold winter nights, a boiling hot gym, supercharged fans, etc. I've not been to nearly enough of them, Tom, and feel the same way about most of the Big 12. If I could make two extra stops this or next winter, it would be in Madison and Stillwater (for Oklahoma State)
I like how Lunardi just ignored the whole point of the statement from Wisconsin Tom and said that he wanted to go to Madison for a game rather than Milwaukee.... Im pretty sure the guy told him to come to the BC not to the Kohl Center... oh well
He clearly misread the comment by the Badger fan, but I'll still take the compliment. With any luck, other people will know how to read as well as MU fans.
