The Lebron thread got me thinking about some of the best dunks/shots I have seen and I went looking on youtube for a few mins and figured since it is so dead around here we could get a thread of some of the best links.
This is in the top 10 for me:
Vince Carter Olympic Dunk

This one has always been one of my favorites.
Look for:
1) The step over Scottie does to Ewing.
2) Scottie going to tell Spike Lee off.
Classic

In person, one of the most incredible plays I've seen was made by Wade his sophomore year. They were playing East Carolina at home. Wade drove left baseline, took off from at least 6 feet out, and dunked ferociously over Moussa Badiene. Badiene was the leading shot blocker in the conference.
I was sitting in the upper deck, across from the students end. I honestly thought there was no way he was going to make it, and when he threw it down my Dad and I just kinda looked at each other in shock. I think someone got a picture of that dunk, I'd love to see a video of it again.
My favorite in recent memory...
Wade block and shot

And also Nate Robinson blocking Yao.
VC's dunk has to be by far the most amazing thing ever witnessed on a bball court. He wasn't running at full speed and dunked over a guy that was 7'1....I mean COME ON!

The Carter dunk is the best dunk ever. Hands down. Nothing is even a close second.

I was also there, front and center student section.
Easily the best thing I have seen live.
How about Reggie Miller's 8 points in 9 seconds in the East finals. That was unreal.

When I saw the back-to-back big men possessions...I started howling I was laughing so hard. Only because I love Shaq.

John Starks had to be the most hated man in Chicago and then he became a Bull for a year.
I think indeelaw90 just won.

I had seriously forgotten about this dunk...you just brought me back to my childhood...LOVE SCOTTIE
The Starks dunk was over Horace Grant, not MJ.

True. But mj was there.

This has always been my favorite Lebron dunk. What was Damon Jones thinking? He knew Lebron was getting the ball back, why was he even jumping with him in the first place? I'm not a fan of Lebron but his reaction is pretty good hah.

Gotta go with this dunk by Jordan. Beats the baseline double-team and THEN throws it down over Patrick Ewing.

Actually, this play by Wade vs. Pittsburgh in the NCAAs was probably the craziest thing I've ever seen a basketball court.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSDuRAMAA5M
John Polonowski putting the free throw miss in for the other team :D
Don Calhoun. One million dollars.
This was a fun random find:

Scottie Pippen's IMO is better than Carter's. Anyone can dunk on an Australian stiff. Dunking on a player of Ewing's caliber...in the playoffs...and then pushing him down, stepping over him, and telling Spike Lee to sit his ass down...
As far as other amazing things, this last second shot was probably my favorite just because Horry came out of nowhere.

Mr. Xavier politely calling time out to go discuss with the referee, the foul just called on the Providence Friars.
Ousmane, as a basketball-raw freshman, not fully grasping the concept of the offensive foul, and barreling over an opposing player like Jerome Bettis fighting for the end zone, and almost taking out a second opponent who had the sense to dive out of the way.

marquette against pittsburgh in minneapolis. wade's cut through the defense, dip and flip, and 1. if you watch closely, he actually travels, landing on the ground before he releases the ball. oh well, still an incredible shot.
I've actually never seen Wade's play v. Pitt. I was out of the country that week, only getting back that Saturday AM.
I can't find the "and one" fast break dunk by Wade from Diener against Kentucky on youtube. I screamed my head off when he did that.
Stumpf walking the entire length of the court on his hands during a timeout.
Or, Lisa Dooley shaking her pompoms yelling, S C O R E.
Jon Scheyer scoring 22 or 23 points in something like 1 minute and 15 seconds in a high school game. Coach K and Chris Collins were sitting a few rows behind me at the game.
Or, Gail Pudvan
Or, Erin Andrews filling out a sweater and pair of pants.
I'm gonna go with the Pippen dunk even though he's a known poor tipper.
