Saturday the 5th. Thats earlier than I expected to see them in Milwaukee.
Reminds me of the year we had UW and Arizona back to back, right before break. Those were both home games, though. Still, a great way to finish off the semester again!
NC State took a significant hit the other day to their roster. Would be quite surprising to see MU lose that game at home this year.

?-( Not sure I understand that comment. Marquette loses almost 73% of it's scoring from a year ago and has to acclimate 7 new players, but they should have no problem beating an ACC team in early December???? I don't think it would be quite surprising at all for MU to lose this game. NC State lost a fair amount as well, but not as much, and have a very strong, Top 20 class coming in (although I understand they lost stud Lorenzo Brown).

Not that hard to understand. MU should win the game. NC State was pretty bad last season and lost quite a bit. They have a bad coach. Our guys will have returned from Orlando having played better competition. And, we have the best player on the floor in Hayward.
I'd be surprised as well if they lost.

If you remember it took a james 3 at the buzzer to beat them last year...
not to mention they beat wake forest.

That's completely inaccurate, they were not "bad" last season. They play in a great conference, and lost a number of tough games. Remember, there are often a lot of really solid clubs that don't have the best win-loss records. There's plenty in the Big East every season. NC State was not a bad team last season.
Hayward may be the best player on the floor for this game, but he's surrounded by 7 new guys. Just because a guy who runs a recruiting website says it's a really good class doesn't mean they'll all click right away and be playing to their potential less than a month into their careers.

Yes, they beat Wake at NC State.
NC State wasn't bad last year, but MU should beat them at MU. MU at home, NC State losing another good player plus 6 freshman coming in (only one short of us). They don't return any player that averaged more than 10 points per game. I think we handle them at home.

i was arguing with the fact he said that nc state was bad last season. i agree we should beat them
Are my standards high or your standards low?
A .500 overall record that was entrenched in the bottom of their conference where 50% of their wins came against the only two teams below them in the ACC who didn't have one single non-conference win of note sounds like a pretty bad team to me. Didn't call them awful (though they were close). Just pretty bad.
I understand we live in a time where everyone wants a ribbon just for stepping on the court but if that's what MU accomplishes this next season I guarantee a lot of fans will call them "bad".
