QuoteThe non-conference schedule continues with another in-state rival as Marquette comes to the Kohl Center on Saturday, Dec. 12. UW leads the all-time series with the Golden Eagles, 62-53, but the two schools have split the last eight meetings.

Actually, it doesn't look that bad other than losing what would probably typically be a top 25ish team by going to Green Bay.  UW usually plays as many majors as everyone else but gains SOS by playing teams that are around the 100-200 range instead of 300+ as filler.

Here are the RPIs that those teams finished at last year (note, I have no idea how much those translate to this year, though it's a pretty safe bet that the Horizon League teams aren't going to suddenly plummet to 300+):
IPFW 228
Oakland 122
Pick 3:
Duke 1
Grambling State 340
UWGB 71
MU 35
Cal Poly 304
UWM 134
UIC 166

On second thought, it's probably one more 300+ RPI team than typical, but it's still probably 7-8 of 12 teams that are top 150.

their weak non-conference schedule makes up for their tough conference schedule.

Although I will admit, the Big Ten will be tougher this year then in the past few.

Big Ten will be trending stronger at least in the top half....

Bruce Weber gets an influx of better talent at IU
Crean starts getting his guys...we know he can get the most out of em.
Beilein has another year to get his guys in.
Tubby another recruiting class...

Bottom half still blows.

Like a poor mans BE I would say...

In the Big East, you can count on the same 5-8 teams being tough.. and South Florida, Rutgers, St. Johns, DePaul being terrible.
