To Detroit....would be interesting if somehow Jerel could wind up back home.
To replace Ben Gordon? Seriously?
I'm wondering when people are going to accept that these guys are not NBA material.
BG is so beyond overrated. And As Bill Simmons said on his Twitter this morning, "Look, any time you can tank a season for the chance to spend $95 mill on 2 non-AllStars, you gotta do it."

Not only that, but outside of the fact they are both guards, their games have nothing in common. Gordon is a streaky shooter who can't play defense. McNeal is a defender that can't shoot.

I love Bill Simmons... its so true... I hear Michael Redd cheering knowing that hes not the only one who steals money from a franchise.
Honesty, is it just me or are there more ridiculous contracts in the NBA than all other pro sports combined?
I heard Jason Kidd was offered by the Dallas Mavericks 30 million for 3 years... seriously? Jason Kidd, who is 36, is rapidly declining, will be paid 10 million a year for the next 3 years? To score 6 points and dish out 7 assists a game (maybe)? Come on Mark Cuban, your better than this.
AHHH....i agree kidd is no spring chicken but 6 points and 7 assists a game is neither accurate nor does it accurately describe his value. 36 or not kidd is still one of the btter pg's in the league. additionally just becuase they sign him for 3 does not mean he will be there for that long.

His stats have gone down every year since the 02-03 year, with an avg of 9 points and 8 assists a game last year... I'll stick with my 6 points 7 assists within the next two years.
Is he really worth 10 million a year money? No, is he one of the better PGs in the league? No, not anymore.
The 2001 Jason Kidd was one of the better PGs in the league, hell the 2006 Jason Kidd was one of the better PGs in the league.
Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Baron Davis, Mo Williams, Rajon Rondo, Jameer Nelson, Devin Harris, Gilbert Arenas, and Steve Nash all have something to say about that "one of the better PGs in the league"... and thats just to name a few.
Lets face it, the NBA over pays just about ALL of the players in the league.

I heard them say on ESPN that teams are trying to get Kidd because he and Wade have a good relationship, but they didn't think Wade would follow a pg, especially one of Kidd's age. I wish Wade was playing for the other FL team next year!

How about Steve Francis being paid $20 million for NOT EVEN PLAYING this year.

The more and more I look at the NBA and follow some aspects of the NBA, the more I can't stand how it works... players paid just WAY too much money... their draft is the worst draft to watch and follow, along with the most head-scratching picks for only a 2 round draft (head scratching to the amount of "who the heck is this guy" picks).
BG, by way of propositioning my fiancee (unsuccessfully) "do you want to wake up at the Four Seasons [Chicago]" , may enjoy a diseased-ridden death. I hope the Marquette envoy in the NBA does wonders to raise the bar in terms of manners and sportsmanship on and off the court.

sure he doesn't deserve that much but a seasoned vet that can still dish almost 9 dimes a game is worth getting, at least for a contender

Where on earth did I say he would be on one of those 2 teams? He could sign on a contending team. Also, the Mavs did lose in the first round but I still consider them a contending team... they went 50-32 in the regular season and could easily shake up the west any given year.

He did hit 86 3's at 40% last season........far and away our best shooter last season. Prior to Dj's injury, he was shooting better than McAlarney.

He's only considering the Knicks or Mavricks. The Mavs have no chance to come out of the West. The Nuggets, Lakers, Blazers, Spurs, and probably the Jazz are all better.
