Just made this bet with my buddy. Curious to know the opinion of other college basketball fans.

Come on MU homers. I love MU too, but I don't see us coming near the wins as Memphis next year. Even with attrition, they return 5-6 major contributors from this years team, plus appear to be still getting a couple top prospects, and they are in the far easier conference USA.
-
Better poll would be MU vs Pitt. Both lost four starters and both have good recruits coming in. AND they play in same conference.

With the CUSA schedule, I have to think Memphis

Memphis wins more but MU will be the better team.

have to agree w/ wareagle..., if the Warriors could play in CUSA next season, they'd win more, but not in the BEast.

I certainly hope I'm wrong, but honesty compelled me to vote for Memphis.

Anyone care to guess my favorite home game win in college?
Probably was beating #3 Memphis on CBS in 1996.
There was basketball at Memphis before Cal and there will be after. Great recruiting base, pretty good tradition, strong boosters.
Take Memphis in 2010.

wareagle is right: In a weak CUSA, Memphis will win more games. However, I think MU will be the better overall team. Probably was the case this past season too, as I strongly believe we would have beaten them in the Sweet 16....

My thoughts exactly. DJ or no DJ.

3 games left
Mu @ 18 wins with @SH, UL, ND + postseason
Memphis @ 20 wins with @Tulsa, USM, @UAB + postseason
After our preseason injuries and such I never thought it would be this close...
