Hazel transferring to Boston U.
Sophomore forward Pat Hazel is transferring to Boston University.
"The coach from Boston U was a coach at Villanova (Patrick Chambers), so he knew me from way before," said Hazel. "He has a connection with a guy I know from back home. A couple of weeks ago I went on a visit up there, and I liked it."
The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Hazel, who is from Queens, N.Y., will be much closer to home at his next stop. He should also be able to step in after a redshirt year and contribute at a program that will be in a rebuilding mode in the America East Conference.
"It's always nice being closer to home," he said. "I really feel like I can play right away if I work hard and apply myself. You've always got to work hard wherever you go, and I feel like it's a good opportunity for me."
Hazel, who averaged 1.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 35 games over two seasons at MU, said he'll miss his teammates as he moves on.
"I love all those guys, and I know they feel the same about me," he said. "It'll be tough to leave, but they wish me the best and I wish them the best always looking forward."

Do you think he will be a fan of Showtime's new series, "Nurse Jackie"? ;)
Sorry. I may a little slow. Can someone explain the med school/nurse jokes on here with reference to Pat?
The craigslist killer suspect is a med student at Boston University.
Back on point, Pat, may you find what you are looking for (an opportunity for playing time) Thank you for your contribution at Marquette. Good luck.
