Good chance if he qualifies....but that's still a very big if.

No, he's a 2009 recruit.  He was a 2008 recruit out of his original high school in Mississippi but couldn't qualify.  He's now on his third prep school in a year and still may not qualify.

Do we want a guy who is on his third prep school?  Are we in danger of becoming UNLV under Tark?

I think our expectations of these kids is sometimes a bit out of line.  They come in an effectively earn millions beyond whatever benefits they receive (tuition, housing, etc.); so expecting them to be academians is incredibly unfair.  Just because an individual cannot get through calculus or has trouble in advanced composition is not to say they could not benefit from a Jesuit education and that combined with their incredible talents on the basketball court be become truly great individuals.

These kids are similar to the blueblood "rainmakers" at an investment bank who probably couldn't calculate present value (Probably because they were an english major) to save their life yet can raise millions of dollars because of their background and networking abilities.  If you get the job done, and that is winning; which just so happens to bring in millions to the university and help pay for sports such as women's volleyball, then perhaps it is time to overlook the individuals shortcomings as long as they keep their nose clean.

I think we have been added back onto his list according to the USA today article. From what I am hearing, LW is more interested than we are.

And where did you hear that, pray tell?
