Hopefully this goes better than Wisconsin v South Dakota St.
Good test for Marquette, a young team with many new players to get some road experience while not playing a basketball powerhouse.
Not sure I am reading it the same way...I don't see anything in there to indicate that MU will necessarily play at Seattle...
Next season, Seattle will have to play a full Division I schedule as part of its five-year transition. The Redhawks will play all their home games at Seattle's KeyArena and their schedule features games against Marquette, Utah, Oklahoma State and, oh yeah, Washington.
Unless they have been given home games against all of those teams listed (no way), I am reasonably sure Seattle will be visiting the BC.
You guys are reading it wrong. Seattle U is coming here, MU isn't going out there. The mention of Key Arena beforehand does not mean the teams listed later are going there.
Here's a different Seattle Times mention of them coming to Marquette next year.
QuoteAnd although the Redhawks won 21 games last season, the road gets more difficult this season as the school passes through purgatory toward D-I heaven. The competition gets tougher. The Division III schools will be eliminated from the schedule, and Seattle U. will make man-eating trips to places like Marquette.

They just hired UCLA's Cameron Dollar as the head coach.
Lots of hype around this team.

Good to hear. Fellow Jesuit school. I'd like us to play more Jesuit schools like Loyola-Chicago, Fordham, Holy Cross, etc. instead of some of these random schools on our non-conference schedule.

Agreed. A home and home with Gonzaga would be great.
A home and home with Gonzaga makes all the sense in the world. And, as such, will never happen.
I believe that the hangup with the Zags is that they wanted to play in Chicago and we either refused or weren't allowed, I do not remember which.

I'd bite that if they played their "home game" in Seattle.
Boy, they really do think they're the "Kings of the Neutral Court," don't they?
