MU a 12 seed
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology
I'd take that in a heartbeat but I hope that I am underestimating us.
With 4 new starters I'll take a 12 seed. Especially given the 5-12 upset phenomenon.
The 09-10 season could be bumpy; but, I'll take a 12 seed at this point.
Maybe he should have waited until the draft situation is over (see Cuse as a #1), but a 12 seed or any seed at all would be an exceptional accomplishment.
I don't know why, but I think this bracketology may be just a little premature. I enjoy looking ahead, but come on.

Completely agree....expecting an NIT season but an NCAA berth would be tremendous.

Never mind! After seeing that Wisconsin was excluded, I now enjoy and agree with this first bracketology. ;D
The reason MU is even listed in this is because of reputation. You earn credit through success. Crean built it in the Big East. Buzz will continue it.
Right now I would take any seed in the NCAA Tourney. If we get in it means the players and coaching staff have done a good job of coming together and playing as a good team!

Its absolutely ridiculous, but its interesting to hear where the "experts" expect for the upcoming season. If bracketology was to be taken seriously, couldn't a case be made that the first one shouldn't come out until the end of February/early March? Besides, what else does Lunardi have to do?

Well, he is Assistant VP of Marketing for St. Joe's....so he's got to earn that salary some how.
Wisconsin-Madison not in the tournament?
I BET we are a 10 seed next year. Acker, Buycks, Caudogan, LAZAR, cooby, McMorrow, BUTLER, and Maymon will lead us to the NCAA. SURPRISE TEAM NEXT YEAR

That brought a huge smile to my face...but I expect them to be in by the end of the season. As for a 12th seed...I'll take it. Like many of the other posters, I'm pretty much expecting a deep run in the NIT. But I'd be ecstatic.
I see a high ceiling with this team. If the new players continue to improve throughout the season like Jimmy Butler we could sneak into the NCAA tournament and be a very tough out.
Wheter we make the tournament or not this will be a much better team in March then it will be in November. I expect this team to beat some teams ranked above them and lose to some teams ranked below them. The last two years, with the exception of South Florida, MU basically beat everyone they were suspose to and lost to everyone they should have. MU game was very consistent, which comes from experience.
Chicos, if MU gets a 12 seed in next year's tourney, does Buzz deserve COY?
