Michigan State?
Kansas?
I guess this will be a hard question to answer before we know who goes into the draft . . . but, I'm depressed about the Brewers and need to distract myself.
Why not? Michigan State loses Walton, who was decent but not great, and Suton, who was good but only REALLY impressed me in the quarterfinal game. They will be very good.
I believe Kansas returns about just about everyone as well.
I think those two are more likely top 5 than the other 3. If Flynn leaves Syracuse, like he should, they won't be top 5. Duke loses their best player in Henderson and they're always overrated as it is. PURDUE?! Never.
Villanova is an easy top 5 pick for 09-10. Jay Wright gets everybody back from the Final Four team other than Cunningham.........Duke transfer Taylor King will join them next year along with a top 5/10 recruiting class (not to mention 7'0 redshirt Maurice Sutton). They're positively loaded.
Losing Scottie Reynolds and Cunningham seems like a lot.

Scottie Reynolds just completed his junior season....it's doubtful he'll declare for the draft and stay in it.
I agree Villanova has all the makings to be an awesome team next year. If I am not mistaken they have 4 players from the top 40 coming in next year, to go along with what they already have...
I stand corrected, I thought he was a senior for some reason.

The mainstream media is already speculating too. They have KU as #1 and MSU as #4. I'm quite surprised Sherron Collins is staying...1) he already won a championship 2) he has a kid and 3) he'll have a tough time outdoing his junior year stats. I'm sure the kids at KU are jacked...I think we'll be hearing a lot of that damn Rock, Chalk, JayHawk...ahh....it brings back bad memories everytime.
If Johnny Flynn comes back as expected, Syracuse will be very tough....as will WVU. I think I read that UNC has 4 McDonald's All Americans coming in? Unreal.

Comes back as suspected? Have you read that somewhere?
The kid is a lottery pick...
I did not search for a link, but Flynn has said that he is coming back and is not even considering going pro. Take it for what it is worth.

Here's Flynn's quote given before they lost in the tourney:
"I'm coming back to Syracuse," he said. "That's it. I'm coming back to Syracuse. There is no 'as of right now.' I'm coming back to Syracuse. Yeah. I'm coming back to Syracuse."

I hadn't read that, I just cruised over to the 'Cuse message boards, and there is an uneasy feeling about Flynn, that's all.

In addition Flynn's quote above, Boeheim encouraged him to go through the NBA evaluation process without hiring an agent and expects him back. Syracuse will be very tough next year.

Just words from Flynn. If he can go in the top 10, he's as good as out of there. He'd be insane not to. And I'd be really surprised if Reynolds stays. I'm thinking both Flynn and Reynolds will test the waters, and probably be told they'll both go in the top 15-20 picks. Besides Lawson, what other PGs are better than those two?
i personally think he should go, and not just for selfish reasons. This is a weak draft for PG's, and I can't see his stock being higher, even if Cuse wins the National Championship next year.

Thanks!
Agreed....if Flynn is going to go anywhere in the top 10-15 in the first round, he should go. It's not gospel but the last Draft Express (updated yesterday, 4/7) has him going #15 with 4 or 5 PG's in front of him.

BTW, it also has McNeal, Matthews and James all going in the second round.
Cuse's Donte Green said he was coming back at this time last year, and then he declared. I think Flynn is gone, along with Blair from Pitt. Harangody tests the water then he stays, unless he notices his whole team is gone next year. Just like Pitt's.
Draft Express has McNeal teaming up with Wade. Wouldn't that be cool for every Marquette alum to see those guys team up? Interesting that they list DJ as going two spots before Mathews.
