After such a solid season for the Big East and an incredible performance in the earlier rounds of the tournament, it is quite a let down that no BEast team made it to the finals. And it feels like a few pin pricks to have both the Big Ten and the ACC represented. Feels like some of the luster of the great year is just a bit tarnished.

Villanova knocked off Pitt. So one Big East contender knocked another one out. Oklahoma was better than Syracuse. Michigan State was better than both Louisville and UConn. And North Carolina was better than Nova. It's that simple. The ACC and Big Ten were not as good top to bottom as the Big East, but the two best teams truly are playing right now.
Had Memphis won the title no one would be saying C-USA was the best league. They just had the best team. I must admit though, you are right in that not having a team even in the Final... the great year is tarnished.
Count me too among the disappointed that we do not have a Big East representative in the final game. Our 3 # 1 seeds are out. Ugh. Still, overall, it was the best conference last year.
