wins for the Jerel McNeil award for forced shots, bad passes, dumb plays in a big game.
He was trying to hard to penetrate rather than taking his patented fadeaway treys.
Kimba Walker wasn't too hot either - seemed to miss everything tonight.
He had to try and make something happen. Austrie and Walker were non-factors tonight... I believe Walker was 1 -6 from the line, when he usually shoots around 80%...
Austrie and Walker didn't want the ball, and UConn's gameplan was atrocious. Thabeet is NOT an offensive player; when he's the focal point of your offense you have no chance. Nice to see Price the felon do so well in his final college game.

At least he's not a dumb speller......
if you ask me i think uconn wins that game if kemba walker wasnt playing in the last few minutes, he screwed up so many things.
This is the third game in a row where MSU basically took the other teams guards out of the game. Complete non-factors. They are going to have their hands full with Lawson...they need to slow the pace down...but still a very impressive performance.
A know a couple of MSU fans and they feel that they are playing with house money now. Many of them thought their team wasn't as good as this.

I think there's been at least 3 UConn games I've watched where I though, "Wow. UConn is going to win this game despite Kemba."
Great athlete, just no head on his shoulders to speak of.
Kemba not having his head in the game? I'm not surprised. He's probably worried about the term papers and other research projects that he's postponed because the doggone basketball season has gone on so long. Takes a person away from their studies, don'tcha know.

That's why NCAA Football will never have playoff system. It takes the student athletes away from their studies too much!
So if the NCAA is worried about this, then why do they have a playoff system in basketball? They only worry about the football student athletes?

considering the playoff system would be predominantly during the winter recess, I don't think this claim holds any water.
The division iii football playoffs happen during the end of the semester. The last four years that Whitewater has played in the championship game, it has been held the Saturday after finals week...and the day of commencement.
That is lip service because they'd rather not simply state the obvious...that the bowls are more lucrative and they care about the $$$.

I was being facetious (without the teal). That's the excuse the NCAA uses because they're making so much money on the bowls. I disagree with them and I think they would make more money with a playoff system. Also isn't the term "football student athlete" an oxymoron?
