Hope he fares well....
I'd like to see what the kid can throw down.....I'm hoping its something pretty sick
I never really thought of Mathews as a high flyer!!! I don't think he is going to fair very well...

You didn't see his between the legs dunk at Marquette Madness, did you?

I suspect Wes will hold his own....
agreed wesley will hold his own and impress. I hope he can win it!
Didn't Wes jump over TC's ATV and dunk at MM a few years ago?
He missed it as I recall
I don't think he'll embarrass himself, but not sure he's at the same level as a guy like Pargo. Should be fun for Wes though, and it is nice to have MU represented.
This is something I would like to see a healthy DJ participate in. I'm sure Wes will acquit himself just fine.
Bump. The contest is in 1 hour!
commentators didn't show him much love in the beginning of the show... hope Wes makes sure they remember him by the end of the night!
If the dunk contest has not been completed yet, I found an online stream to it.

how were none of the guys selected to play in the all star game?
No big thing, but just saw Buzz and his Wife sitting courtside during the 3 point contest.

...or you could turn on espn if you have it
So. how'd Wes do?
He's wearing the baby blues!
Awesome Dunk in the Baby Blues!
i like the d-wade exclusives
scored a nice 46 in the first round
Buzz rocking the pocket square in the sport coat!
Nice dunk by Wes. That first guy got totally hosed by the judges.
First dunk

I just saw he got knocked out... missed the top 4 cut.
Second Dunk

We all know that even if Wes did get to the second round, he would have gotten eliminated there in true Marquette fashion.
Baby blues strike again
By far the worst dunk contest I have ever seen
he looks great playing on the pistons court. boy oh bow would i love for him piston...like wade should have been
baby blues.... can these seriously be retired for good next season or something? they kill me.
Wes's first dunk was sick
He should have jumped over his mom.
I still love the baby blues!
I have to say, Wes' uniform stood out as several steps above anything else in the building.

You mean the same mother who was a track star at UW???
I don't care if Wes finished last last night. Being away from the boards yesterday and not knowing he was a contestant, was a very, very pleasant surprise for me.
Seeing Wes in an MU jersey one last time....was awesome.

Baby blues strike again
+1.
LOL. I was thinking the same thing.
I think that his first missed dunk in the second round was pretty sweet... had he made it.
The whole idea of the slam dunk contest for college players sucks.
Lets be serious, the Dunk Contest in the NBA sucks, knowing that there are better dunkers in the league makes it a bad watch.
Until you get D-Wade, LeBron, Kobe, and bring back MJ... the dunk contest sucks
Lebron said he was going to be in it next year to challenge D howard and i hope that draws dwade and other big time players back to the contest

I'd rather MU players not be forced to work in failing cities. Maybe they could both play in cities where there are people left that can afford to attend sporting events still?

Why we don't
wear them is because I don't think we have won a game in them.

Please don't tell me you are all buying into this mythical "green jersey" BS that Notre Dame fans complain about
Edit: the grammar bugged the heck out of me
I really hope all that superstitious bull leaves with the seniors. I bet we see a lot more of those beautiful baby blues with all of the new guys next season.

um, we did beat the powerhouse of the South in them

Baby blues strike again
Hmmm... I'm thinking there might be a new supersticion emerging here:
Cannot win a
game if wearing the baby blues.
Cannot win a
dunk contest if your coach is wearing
yellow pants.
