Jerel second team AP All American. Congrats.
Congrats to 'Rel on his achievement. :)
good stuff, should give some help for recruiting purposes.
Also great for McNeal, man deserves every honor given to him, who would have thought his freshman year that he would be a 2nd team All-American?

Congrats to Jerel
He deserves it and has been nothing but a great representation of MU over 4 years.
I'm happy hes in my class and I got to watch him for 4 years
If I'm counting correctly, 6 out of the 15 players on the three teams are from the Big East. Impressive.
Congrats to Jerel, that's a great achievement. (insert party hat smiley here)
I'd be curious how those teams would play out against each other - obviously they aren't balanced by position, but by my count the teams would start the following combined stats:
- First team: 108 pts/game, 44.8 rebounds/game, 14.3 assists/game
- Second team: 96.8 pts/game, 33.4 rebounds/game, 14.8 assists/game
- First team: 88.6 pts/game, 26.6 rebounds/game, 16.5 assists/game
:o

Second Team All-American is a tremendous accomplishment. Congrats to Jerel. I don't know exact numbers, but ther must be roughly 3,500 - 4,000 D-1 basketball players. Being in the top 10 is really fantastic.
Awwwww....too bad Toney Douglas made the AP AA 3rd team but LOST to DJ in the fan vote for the Cousy award. ;)
