I'm not worried about a trap game, I think this team is really focused / determined. December was their cruise control / issues month. I think someone finally told DJ that NBA Scouts can get regular season tickets too.
This game makes me nervous, very nervous.
I'll take any kind of win. 1 point or 50 points.
The way we've played against ranked opponents on the road says that this game shouldn't be a problem...but the way we tend to play down to opponents and not show up for games that should be a win unsettles me just a little. I still think we have a really good shot at a win, especially with the streak we have going...it seems like the boys are really getting motivated
All games worry me. ;)
USF is very tough inside. Gransberry (LSU transfer) in particular has been regularly putting up double-doubles since he became eligible in December. Very solid player.
However, USF doesn't have the backcourt quality they've had, even in recent years. They also have a very short bench, if we bring the energy that we've been displaying, we can and should avoid the trap.
Agreed, MU traditionally plays to the level of their competition. It may be that the lower echelon teams see this as a signature win for an otherwise bad season and MU just sees it as another game.
And so it was....
