Three in the Elite 8...and the other team is the one that beat Marquette.
If we win on Sunday, it would be four out of four.

Saturday damn well could have been the Big East quarterfinals had we gotten thru Mizzou.
As it's looking right now, the Elite 8 shaping up to be the Big East/Big 12/UNC or Gonzaga Invitational.
Big East Speed.

A healthy DJ and we get through those two games. We just never got a break in March the last four years. Every bounce, every 50/50 call, our health, just nothing went our way. You make your own breaks I guess, but we were so close. The more I watch the more I realize how good we were...

Yeah it could have been 4 if the last coach actually recruited somebody worthwhile besides Lazar the past 3 years! But yeah he's a great recruiter or at least that's what his bio says.
So close to having 4....rrrrr. If the BEast represents tonight, 7 or our 10 losses will be to teams in the elite 8. But give Mizzu their props. They hung 100 on Memphis. Wow.
vindication, or sorts.
3 BE teams this far already- take that all of those who didn't think it was THE best conference in the land.
shows the strength and challenges of playing league games night in and night out for 18 tilts.
the team that barely got by us whoops one who some claimed should have been a number 1 seed-
we were seconds away from this next round- Memphis was hardly in the game.
yes, what could have been.
go BE!
Best. Conference. Ever.
i think the ACC/Big East comparisons can be put to rest.
What I find even more fun about this is our last eight games of the year had six of the sweet sixteen and at least four of the elite eight. That is awesome.
Nova
Cuse
Conn
Mizzou
Louis
Pitt

I just hope that the Big 12 doesn't pull a couple of rabbits out of their hat tonight and try to stake a claim that they are equal to the Big East. Go Cuse and MSU (and Louisville). Five BEast teams versus one B12 team makes a much better impression than 3 and 3.
I already posted this in another thread, but I think the info is pretty cool....
What's crazy is that as good as the BE was last night, the conference still needs to win three more games in the NCAA tournament to overachieve their seeding.
For the table in the blog post below, add "3" to the BE number in column three and add "1" to the B12 number to reflect last night's results

* Pitt-Nova will generate at least one more win, and then it's up to Syracuse, UL, and UConn to win two more games.
* The Big Ten needs two more wins to overachieve expectations, but a win tonight by MSU gets them close
* The Big Twelve is doing great.
* The biggest fraud is the ACC, which would still underachieve as a conference by almost two wins even if UNC ran the table and won the NC. ha
This might sound kinda elementary, but these past few weeks have made me realize we had a really really good team this year. If Louisville and Cuse win tonight, there will be one team in the elite 8 that we beat, and five that we legitimately could have or maybe even should have beat.
I don't know about the rest of you but I'm pullin for the Orange tonight and...maybe even the Cards...
I'm rooting for Slick Rick and the girlfriend beater. They're in our conference, and I want five of the eight spots in the Elite Eight.
Frack Cuse. Boeheim is trash, Devo beats women, and they ruined Senior Day!
Go Sooners!
PS: I also have a 20 spot at 15-1 for OK to win it all.
Louisville blowing Arizona away. 27 point lead with 16 left.
