It's very reminicent of the Ty Willingham/Charlie Weis deal at ND.

Kentucky will get what they deserve in the end.  They have yet to realize that just because they're Kentucky doesn't mean they have a birthright to NCAA titles.

I bet a lot of them are wishing they had Tubby back right about now.

Oklahoma State and Kentucky may just end up switching coaches.

Huh?  Ty Willingham is a fraud.....a program killer.

That is a fair review, but similar only in so far as Ty got 3 years, and Gillispie's only going to get 2.  Usually that's not enough time, particuarly with a baskeball program, to get things turned around (unless you are landing 1 and dones consistently a la Calipari).

Crean to Kentucky.

story not coming up anymore.  UK boards are saying, story been retracted... would be logical since the link no longer has a story.

Interesting article by Forde tonight about RUSHING TO hire and the mistakes made when one does that.

Gee chicos, you managed to take another swipe at the "process" of hiring buzz in a thread about UK & gillispie.  Oh yeah, not to mention 353 days after Buzz became our coach.

I know you love Marquette hoops, and clearly you think you could have handled the coaching search better.  But unless you're going to actively push Marquette to replace Buzz now, I don't understand why you feel the need to bring it up several times the past year.

In case you wondered, it's posts like these that make people say you "hate" the program.  It's a similar obsession to PRN and 4ever's comments about Crean.  I know they both love MU hoops, but took a lot of heat for hating on Crean for all those years.

Wasn't taking a swipe at all.  Just copying Forde's article on how they rushed their hire at Kentucky and it didn't pay off.  BG is a good coach, but he should have stayed at A&M.
