6. In a surprising move, MU will fire Buzz Williams and choose his replacement from elite coaches Rick Pitino, Roy Williams, and Jim Calhoun.

Never did I think I would read an article that said MU basketball will be saved because of Mo Acker.....especially as the #2 reason.   :o   I love Mo as a backup, but he is not one of the 5 reasons.

It will come down to Buzz's ability to recruit year in and year out and coach up those that aren't elite players.

I think the article was written for next year only, and not the long-term.  Acker is as good a reason as any.  He's not a great big east PG, but he should have his way with the cupcakes in the beginning of the season, and teach the ropes to Junior.

It's gonna be so weird to have announcers talk about us having size.  The team is gonna learn a lot in that Thanksgiving tournament next year.  There are no potential number one seeds, but all around tough teams for a team like Marquette with lots of freshmen.  That should be a good test to get ready to go into Madison and upset those guys and play a tough home game against NC State.

I really like the way the team looks next year.  All young players are question marks, but we improve interior scoring and defense it looks like.  I do question if Butler and Buyucks can be lockdown defenders on the perimeter, but I really am excited to see this new team.
