Chicos-This proposed MLB Extra Innings package going exclusively to DirecTv is getting blasted by everyone in the media (Jayson Stark, Buster Olney, Mike & Mike, John Donovan to name a few).
What does DirecTv think about all of this criticism? Given the criticism is not directed at DirecTv, but at MLB. For the consumer, it's a terrible deal, but you can't blame MLB for taking hundreds of millions of dollars being thrown it's way.
Actually I would blame the MLB for selling out their fan base. Pretty ridiculous for them to say you can't follow your team unless you have Directv. It's a deal that I think will definitly hurt the league in the short run and possibly the long run.

Hope you're right, chicos. I fear MLB is going to be taken to the woodshed on this one. First, fans were pissed off when the games were taken off regular TV. Now they're being taken off cable. I can see where someone's going to get upset.
I hate it before I know any details. I know some people who can't even get Direct TV. What are they going to do? And if I want to watch more games, I have to change my whole system? How many people get Direct TV? I wouldn't mind some games offered on there, but baseball is doing its fans a disservice with this deal.
And why are we talking about this on a MU basketball board?
