I know he is a "project," but any word on his progress, skills, instincts? Would be nice to have someone in the middle next year.
Buzz said in October that McMorrow would have played on this team and contributed if he had been eligible. Last week, during the run up to the tourney, kind of lost in the background noise, Buzz said that Liam had been dominating Otule and Burke in practice (apparently to prepare them to be dominated in games) and that Jerel kept picking Liam to be his teammate in 2 on 2 games. Reading the tea leaves there, I would hazard an interpretation that he really is an athletic, co-ordinated 7+ footer who is improving and has a high ceiling. It is on him and the coaches. If they work him hard and he is determined to improve, IMO he is going to be the surprise of the team next year.
Nice post. That sounds promising. I haven't really heard anything about his progress this year. Thanks!
As long as he can run and block shots and rebound, I am impressed. We don't need him to score, just dominate on defense.
Dominating Burke and Otule? Wow.
Wait till he goes up against Blair, Samuels, Gates, Monroe, Onaku, Koshwal, Harongody, and the other BE Centers.
I didn't say it was a very high bar, NYG. I predict next year, he will be a cross between Ooze and Thabeet as sophomores. Long, lanky, athletic, foul prone. I project Otule as Grimm next year. If they meet that threshold, we will be much improved at the 5.
Wait a second. Wasn't Liam dehydrated and dizzy during a practice last week? Didn't he go to the hospital for some tests and those tests were "not good." according to our coach. I hope it was just the flu but any news on Liam's health?
I have two questions:
1) Any news on McMorrow's hospital visit?
2) Is it true that Buzz has said on the radio Fulce will NEVER be the same player he once was after his injury?
