FOUR turnovers in five minutes.
Yup, he's the human turnover machine so far. Hope he settles down.
It's been a while since it's looked like he was trying hard in a game.
He hasn't tried at all on defense the past month.
english = felix?
love DJ but acker has attacked better.
picking it up, hayward has had a bad start
Quit turnin the ball over. Its getting ridiculus.
we gotta' take better care of the ball. TO's are killing us.
I guess the staff thought running with Missouri was a good idea.

We shouldn't be playing fast and loose against Missouri. Plays right into their hands.
neither are very good.

i will tell you one thing, at the expense of being ripped. Crean would not put up with the defensive effort.
dear buzz,
thanks for speeding things up.

Raftery said it best ...
"Dominic James is out there, but not the Dominic James we know."
Very, very tentative, which really does MU no good.
Please, stop creating threads for every thing you want to say.
Just post it here.
Love the guy, but James shouldn't be out there. Won't drive, won't pass...provides nothing on the court
Actually, almost all of MU's offense is coming off situations in which they push the ball and draw a foul ... 16 points off free throws already.
Many of MU's turnovers are coming not when they push the ball, but when they settle into the halfcourt set (and when Wes gets shoved out of bounds). The longer MU stands around and passes around the perimeter, the more opportunities they're giving Mizzou to create a turnover. The problem isn't pushing the ball, the problem is a terrible half-court offense.
Some tell-taling stats:
FTs: MU 16-18, Mizzou 3-5
FG%: MU 31.8%, Mizzou 52.8% (19-36!!! 5-11 from 3)
Our ability to leave people wide open for 3 game after game is just sickening. I'm not saying players don't at time hit tough shots, but for real, guard the 3 point line.
Louisville is the closest team we play like Missouri. We kept that game to 62-58. That's how we should be playing this game.
The second half we aren't going to have much choice but to try and play reckless to get back in it.
What are you smoking? Acker adds nothing.

+1 sums up the game well. We should keep running, that is not the problem.
I expect for Hayward to lead us back alot like he did when he woke up in the 2nd half against villanova
run, but protect the ball.
and take the first decent shot. too many TOs while passing around after NOT taking a decent shot.
protect the ball, guard the 3 and take shots--win or go down swinging.

Agreed. Getting our butts whipped in the half court -- on both ends.
doesn' thelp that they are making circus shots and we cant make a layup
Keep taking it to the hole and they will keep fouling us. We are going to have 30 FTs in the second half

+1....make a ****ing layup
I've never seen Wesley get knocked to the ground so many times without it being a foul. That said, it isnt helping that we cant make layups. Ugh, come on Marquette!!
I think he has to sit Burke if we're going to play this style. He adds nothing in this kind of game.
Yes Pakuni, but it's leading to jailbreaks the other way, especially when we lose. We have no control on the game
Butler's bubble has burst a bit in Boise. But at least he's rebounding well.
Nice....patient, worked for a shot...got a open 3.
Hang in there!!
I think we may have to slow this one down. Cools us off, cools them off.
Limits the number of TOs and reduces the number of fastbreaks they can set.
And KEEP DRAWING THE FOULS!!!
This morning I watched a video of Golden Eagles ripping mountain goats off the mountain and making them fall to their death.
Our Golden Eagles today cannot even get a bunny.
What is up with that basket?!?!?!? Friggin' lid on it. Unreal.

Are we watching the same game?
Most of Mizzou's points have come in the half court. MU has done reasonably well slowing down their transition game. Mu has done a terrible job of guarding half court sets.
And making shots within three feet of the basket, unfortunately.
Wes is a tough SOB

Reminds me of Wade: "Fall down....get back up"
By the way, for those of you that don't recall Leo Lyons = Leo Criswell, who at one point seemed a good bet for Marquette, but then changed his mind (a couple times, maybe) and ended up at Mizzou.
Buzz has to sub James out of there right now.
Dom's doing all he can, but he's got to come out. There's nothing there. He cannot leave his feet.

agreed. he is useless. i thought in his quote he said he was dunking inpractice yesterday? why no hops today?
I still thin McNeal might have a shot at that NBA thingy
Buzz....great halftime adjustments.....keep spreading the floor
Here comes the double bonus soon!!!
Hopefully this outcome is different, but very reminiscent of the Nova BET game. Gotta give Buzz a lot of credit, great halftime adjustments today. Hopefully it's enough to pull it out in the end.
Louisville now down in their game.
Come on Big East! Let's go!
Play soem DEFENSE.....please!!!
It's like Nova and Stanford

Still stings from the Stanford game...LET'S GO MARQUETTE!!!
BTW, a Hazel sighting. ;)
Win or lose, these kids have huge heart.
Hayward you are a man
the end was a joke. those refs are a joke.
a whole season wasted on stupid plays, crunch time shrinkage, and disappointment.
Total bush league.......glad to see our coach has the balls to let em have it!!
Frankly I thought we played pretty damn well overall. If any of the bunnies that we missed would have dropped, we had the game. I don't know how many layups and easy shots did not fall, but that was the bottom line. Gotta make those.
Even with that we were in it to the end.
Still smarts huge, but I am proud of the guys and the season.
Great comeback...thanks to the seniors.
Unfortunate miss on the free throw and Hayward's step over...bummer but they played their butts off.
Just wish they had played better in the first half.
5 Big East teams to the Sweet 16, most ever.
most heartbreaking season ever. thanks for the ''memories''.
Interesting statistic was no points from Acker/James PG position. Don't know if that ever happened before, DJ didn't even take a shot the whole game. Heck, even Burke had five.

Love the HAND OVER MOUTH from Buzz. You know he was letting the ref have it on the no call (on Mo's desperation heave).
But that Lazar brain fart was COSTLY.
From hero to goat...he's still a hard-working player who is still thinking about the cost of that TO.
And to mubball2009...I would like to be disappointed about this game, but other than Jerel and Wes (maybe Lazar), we don't have any scoring from the three or in the block.
