poor St Mary's

Crime? No, Arizona deserved to get in and they won their game today. No crime at all. St. Mary's had their chances and blew them in the regular season and got absolutely torched in their conference tournament.
You're giving Cleveland State, who just blew out Wake Forest, no chance against Arizona?
?-(
Poor saint marys? Maybe if Arizona would have lost badly then you could say its a crime that Arizona was in the tournament, but they won their game so its hard to argue. I personally would have like to have had saint marys instead of arizona, but arizona actually won so I can't hate them for that.

Yes, I expect AZ to handle Cleveland State.
Neither Arizona nor St.Mary's deserved to be in the tournament. But the Zona won today. I think that's a fact we can all agree on.
I'll happily admit U of A shouldn't have made the tournament. The Rodents shouldn't have either. Doesn't mean much anymore.
Arizona deserved their bid. However, I wouldn't pencil them in the Sweet 16 just yet.
Cleveland State is this years Davidson and George Mason. Go Cleveland State!
I've seen Cleveland State half a dozen times this season. They can beat Arizona. Bullock and Jackson are bg time talents who would get a lot of minutes if they were at Marquette.

Good article by Pat Forde. I like Cleveland State to the S16.
I had U of A and CSU winning Friday, and had CSU in a season-long team pool this year, so I know a bunch more than most about U of A, and some more about CSU than most. CSU does have something like a 30-40 percent shot in that game. If U of A shoots like they did yesterday, they win reasonably handily. That's the same U of A team that played in the 6-game winning streak in Pac 10 and looked about as good as they've looked in three years against UCLA. I'm not sure CSU has anybody that can check Hill and Budinger consistently, and when those two play with maximum effort, not many people do. I'd be surprised if Wise plays as well as he did yesterday with CSU guards, which people here seem to have accurately gauged. U of A does have a coaching disadvantage in the game, which does scare me a touch, but I see U of A winning a tight one.
Well i'm just glad I went against going against my better judgment and did not put Wake in my F4 however much it PAINED me to let L'ville in in their stead.
But it's moot since Cleveland State just took over. i hate ohio teams! They have ruined my bracket!
Cleveland St. is better than Arizona.
While I had CSU losing in the first round, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they give Arizona a run for their money. CSU plays hard-nosed basketball and won't be intimidated by guys like Budinger. That being said, 'Zona won their game so there's not much point now in arguing whether they deserved to be in the tournament or not.

I'm curious as to how the Ohio teams ruined your bracket. I think Wake losing hurt everyone fairly equally (I had them in the Sweet 16) and even if Ohio State would've won, there's no way they would've toppled Louisville. Did you have Akron going far or Xavier losing right away?

Good point. I apparently already blocked that one out of my memory as I had West Virginia in the Sweet 16, as well.
