One of those "significant ones" according to the 'scoop calendar.
Thanks, man. 40 years ago today.
My wife made a cake, but I requested we have it at 11am today, so I could use up my wish before the game.
Last night, she brought me cake scraps and I turned them down, because I didn't know if eating them would somehow diminish the wish's power.
To be on the safe side, I went to bed hungry.
So the Birthday gods MUST be pleased! LET'S GO WARRIORS!
(I am not suggesting that I'm wishing for anything concerning Marquette, the team, a high FG% today, nor basketball in general, as that would screw my wish up. I usually just say a little prayer, and wish for world peace .... amen.)
Happy birthday Hiltopper.
Don't an MU victory and world peace go hand in hand, anyway?
Easily the best poster on the board. The anti-koolaid of the anti-koolaids.
Happy Birthday!
Wow. Thanks, I think.
Wouldn't the anti-koolaid of the anti-koolaids be .. pro-koolaid?

Yes.
Happy Birthday. I'll always remember those license plates speeding away from the Anti-Gold rally.
Feliz cumpleanos, HT!
Funny that there's another thread about a historical 40-year-old event. ;)
The best anti-koolaid poster, how about that?
Like a player's player!
What a birthday present, huh, Top? ;)
I guess a birthday wish is worth exactly 1 NCAA point.
I expected more. I mean, I usually blow off my wish, but I've been thinking about this all week, how I was gonna wish, that I had to take the day off of work, not see the cake until it was wishing time, have the cake 30 minutes before tip off, so it was a fresh wish.
Maybe it was the candles. Usually there's lots, maybe not 40, but .. my wife had just one, a special 40 one, on the cake. That might explain the 1 point margin of victory.
Mental note, next year, more candles.
