Title: cornell- Missouri
Post by: Friends call me Shaka on March 18, 2009, 10:17:45 PM
Nobody seems to be giving Cornell much of a shot, but they have experienced team and PG is Whittman(son of ex- NBA'er). Wouldn't be suprised to seem them slow Missouri down and pull upset. They have a solid squad

I've seen them play in person and they look like a high school squad.  Foote (their 7'0''er) is a total stiff.

Whitman is admittedly a stud and I like their PG Lou (Dale?).

The only way Cornell wins that game is if Whitman + the rest of the team catch fire from 3.

Yeah, this team was in Anaheim last year against Stanford and they just aren't any good.  To hang with a Mizzou team for 40 minutes is just asking way too much.  Not gonna happen, sorry.

From glancing at Cornell's schedule, for what it's worth...

Cornell lost @ Indiana by 15

Cornell lost @ Syracuse by 10 (led at halftime by 5)

...I'd bet the mortgage on Mizzou beating them.

Cornell wins this.  Mizzou is nothing without pretty boy Quin.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Cornell keep it close.  Their efficiency margin since January has been really good.  Granted, they're playing a lot of crap teams (Harvard, you suck!) but they have been playing pretty well against those teams.

Now, I'm not saying that they'll beat Mizzou.  Just that it's not crazy to think they'll keep it close or pull off the upset.
