Who normally starts this thread of oppononent's famous alumni?
A quick glance shows leads me to think that besides a couple of older famous football names (i.e. LaVell Edwayds and Merlin Olsen) and the occassional politician (i.e. H. Reid) this thread may not go on for too long...
Besides myself, a few famous USU Alumni that come to mind are:
Sports:
Chris Cooley (TE for the Redskins - probowl the last 2 years)
Kevin Curtis (WR for the Eagles)
Anthony Calvillo (QB for the Montreal Alouettes - 2 time CFL Most Outstanding Player)
Phil Johnson (Long time top assistant coach for the Jazz - believed to be the successor to Sloan if he ever retires)
Business:
CEO of Deloitte and Touche (One of the largest accounting firms in the US)
President of Nike
Founder of Atari
Cooley sure has style
This one too...

well, that picture of Chris Cooley is at Redskin practice, so apparently it is Washington DC that promotes interesting clothing choices.
As far as what there is to do in Logan UT, it is the place to be if you like the outdoors and outdoor recreation. Logan is in the middle of a beautiful valley that is surrounded by huge mountains. There are beautiful canyons to hike/bike/fly fish/camping/hunting in the spring, summer, fall, also skiing, snowmobiling in the winter. You can get to all of this stuff within 30 minute drive. There are a couple in nice lakes nearby to waterski, wakeboard, etc. Golf is pretty inexpensive with some really nice courses. Birch Creek (just outside of Logan in nearby Smithfield) was given an award by Golf Digest as one of the top courses for value in the nation. It is also close to Salt Lake and Park City (1.5 hours) to have access to the outdoor activities that are near there. It is less crowded in Logan though.
The winters are bitter cold though. Negative degree temperatures and huge snow storms are quite common. That makes watching Aggie Basketball the biggest show in town come winter time. The community loves Utah State and their basketball team.

Count me as one that likes Boise and Logan. Nice part of the country. It's certainly not the hectic pace most of us are used to in the "bigger cities".

Actually I live in the midwest (Illinois) but grew up there. I do miss the mountains and the great things to do in Logan. It really is a beautiful place (especially when compared to central Illinois)
Ronnie Price, no?
And those Cooley pics make me want to skip him next year.

OK. Let's make the description something that cannot be argued: Deloitte is THE BEST.

Is there actually an argument among the accountants on the board as to who works for the BEST accounting firm? If I read these posts on another school's board I would heckle them endlessly. Put down the abbacus and go read a book.
Who knew what I would start with the Delloite reference. I don't know anything about accounting, but I now know that for several of you, a USU alum is your boss. Win or lose, at least we have that.
Also, another alum that might hit close to home as Packer fans... Jarrett Bush.
Don't forget the Mormons. Lots of Mormons in Logan. My guess is that results in a lack of drinking establishments...which is a shame.
