Currently, Marquette is listed as a 7 out in Kansas City facing Utah State. Here's the breakdown of the West.
1 - Louisville
16 - Morehead State
8 - Cal
9 - Wisconsin
5 - Florida State
12 - New Mexico
4 - Gonzaga
13 - North Dakota State
6 - LSU
11 - Minnesota
3 - Washington
14 - Robert Morris
7 - Marquette
10 - Utah State
2 - Memphis
15 - Morgan State
While I'm not happy with the 7, that seems like a favorable draw all things considered. Thoughts?
Purdue a #5? Florida St. a #5? Illinois, yes the Illinois of the 33 point game, a #5????????
I just don't get Lunardi..........
If we're going to be a 7, that is about as favorable as you can get. I like MU's chances in in any game against Utah State, Memphis, Washington, and Gonzaga. Never like to see Louisville, but what can you do.

Washington is a damn good basketball team.
Lunardi's model is excellent for picking who is in or out, but not so good relative to seeding. Pomeroy and Sagarin have MU at 21 and 22, respectively. Their models more accurately reflect the process that the committee follows. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Also, we need to be aware of how our fellow BE brethren are seeded and where they play since a team cannot play fellow conference members until later in the tourney ( Elite 8...? ). That factor cost us a line in seeding last year in my estimation.
21 or 22? That would put us at a 6.
