Sad Picture

Written by: hilltopper91@gmail.com (Kevin Buckley (Hilltopper))

I was looking through my MU game photos .. I get too depressed after losses to post pictures.

Saw this one and immediately recognized its significance.

Let's call it:  "DJ's Last Shot"

DJ's shot was pure for 3.

50 seconds later, he left the game, ending his Warrior career.

THank you for sharing, but I view it as DJ going out on top.

wouldn't it be cool if DJames picks "28" as his number if he winds up in the NBA? (#1 is a fairly common number that I think may be hard for a rookie to get right away).... would be kind of symbolic... picking up right where he left off....

How about 1658?

Seriously, he broke his foot, he didn't lose a leg.  DJ will be just fine.

I'm sure Diener doesn't care about the day he punched that dummy now.

silly MUSF... you can only have 2 numbers on a jersey and of course he didn't lose his leg.... if he did, he wouldn't be able to come back

;D :D

When DJ made that shot I remember thinking to myself "oh no, please don't let this encourage another 1 for 9 debacle on 3-pointers from him", and then before I knew it he was out of the game.  What I wouldn't give to have him in the game now, chucking up 3's or not  :'(

FYI...Diener broke his hand falling over at a party, NOT at practice. I was there...

I had the same reaction. I vividly remember going "no, no, no, no...YES"

DJ had a knack for making us do that....taking bad shots that more often than not did not go in...but he did have some clutch jumpers down the stretch. Right now I would gladly trade in his shot selection for his defense and playmaking abilities as a PG.

Is that right?? Always wondered what the real story was. If true, he paid a high price for being out partying. Cost the team too.
