Title: Yes, it's me
Post by: PuertoRicanNightmare on March 07, 2009, 07:38:55 PM
1. I'm back.
2. I saw somebody at Turner's with a "Cracked Sidewalks" t-shirt. I was going to go introduce myself, but the guy left.
3. I was wrong about the hiring of Buzz Williams. After I heard him speak at the Senior Day celebration...a better summary than the giant horse's ass made in 9 years...I'm on his side. It was genuine (!) and heartfelt.
4. Jimmy Butler played an outstanding game today.
5. What happened to Burke today? He rarely saw the court after the first half.
6. Good for Maurice Acker. I wish he'd shoot a little bit more, but I thought he played as well as he could.
7. I think this MU team is the most exciting team we've had in my recent memory...and I include the 2003 team in that assessment. Before DJ went down, I thought we had a legitimate shot at the FF. I'm still saying Sweet 16.
8. I saw the thread about people arguing. Why the hell shouldn't people argue on a message board?
9. The guys in the courtside seats with the argyle socks and the jerseys of the seniors are an embarrassment.
10. Golden Eagles is completely lame nickname.

Anyway...wish I had the chance to introduce myself to the guy at Turners. Great job on CrackedSidewalks!

Where were you all season? Bloomington? Nice to have you back.

I've been in Bloomington rooting for Indiana to get bent over like Joanie did on her wedding night.

I forgot to mention...the Syracuse fans showed up like no other BE fans I've seen this season. There might have been teams with more numbers, but the fans at Turners were having a great time and were good guys! I like Syracuse!

PS: Anybody notice Jim Boeheim took time to watch the Senior Day celebration?

Mrs. Crean got bent over on her wedding night? I heard she was giving it, not receiving.

Welcome back Rican, it's been boring here without you!

Totally agree... this team was a lot of fun.  My all time favorite MU team.  This class was special... too bad about Neek but we still have some games to end it right.

Speaking of the old coach and the Senior Day speeches, did anybody else hear the little dig?

Boeheim got lost going into the locker room after the game, walked into nothing in the SE corner, realized he was going the wrong way and went back to the tunnel.

Welcome back PRN. Hope you stick around and keep this place lively.

I have to disagree about the courtside guys. I thought it was great. They're students, and in the student section it'd be fantastic. It was just a little bit weird having them courtside.

I agree about the Syracuse fans. I was impressed by their numbers, noise, and (from what I experienced) class. I just still can't figure out how you cheer for a team with Devendorf on it.

I'd disagree on the courtside guys as well .. thought they were great, as did my wife.

They were students??  They look older.
