Their game preview says we are fading since losing James.
It does seem like this happens to us every year.
This year, our last 10 games: 6-4--if we lose next 2 it will be 4-6
Last year before Conference Tourney: 7-3
Does anybody know what we were in the prior few years in last 10, say?
We are fading. No team can lose an NBA-caliber point guard and not fade. It would defy logic. I feel terribly for Dominic James and the other seniors that they came this far and then have this horrible injury derail a great season where they had an outside shot of making the Final 4. I just hope that they can still make some noise in the Big East tournament and in the NCAA's. They certainly are a team that even outsiders can root for in the tournament.
Um, we have played UConn and Louisville since losing James, and were in both those games till the last minute. How is that fading?
Let's see what they say tomorrow! ;D

What matters is the final score. Moral victories are meaningless to W-L record.

So if you lose to the best team in the country in a close game and you lose to the number 6 team in the country in a close game on the road that means you are fading?
Please.
If we lost to UCONN in the 2nd game we played in the Big East and Louisville in the 3rd and then beat CINCY and Rutgers in the last 2 we would be surging(5 wins in a row) instead of fading right?
Its not about fading or surging its about how the schedule happened to fall.

Agreed. by definition, it may be an accurate statement. Upon closer examination, its nonsense.
Talk about fading. Who reads the Sporting News?
HA! MARQKC beat me to it! I would say that the SN is a "fading" publication.
Had we lost 2 in a row to unranked teams without DJ, then I'd say we are fading. Playing two Top 10 teams, and being in the game til the end is different. Yes, we lost them, but we played them to the wire. That's not a fading team.
Unfortunately this article seems to be relevant now. Jeez, we faded just in the course of this one game. 30 strong minutes followed by running out of gas. I loved the effort for most of the game. They just ran out of steam. Let's get back on track against 'Cuse on Saturday!!!
