If I read this correctly, Buzz is saying Matthews will be point guard (taking ball up) with Butler starting in Wes's position Acker comes off the bench.
i don't know if I would extract that much information from that blurb. I would guess acker will start because butler is way more useful coming off the bench. butler can play 2-4, so he is a more flexible option off the bench. but when acker is out of the line-up, wes and jerel will probably bring it up.
It didn't specify who would be starting, but that does seem to be one interpretation. I really hope that with 38-40 minutes to go around, Buzz doesn't allocate 15 more to Butler and 25 more to Acker while letting four fresh bodies rot on the bench as he seems to be leaning toward.
Well, if Katz is pulling this exactly from the podcast, Buzz said he had Wes bringing the ball up the floor when James went out against UConn because he didn't know what the DJ injury was at first. He was thinking only missing him for 3-4 possessions. He said he put in the wrong guy (Butler) at that time. So, I would anticipate it's Acker at the point for big minutes here on out.
The way I see it, they will find the matchup(s) they like and use that to determine who triggers the offense.
If Buzz is now gonna go with a SIX man rotation thats just nuts! Based on what we have seen I would not doubt it though!

Not sure how that's much different from what they have been doing. From a minutes perspective, I am assuming James' minutes will primarily go to Acker and Butler, with Cubillan picking up Acker's minutes.
One thing is for certain...if Acker is not in excellent condition, it could be a very rough couple of weeks given the number of minutes he is going to have to play.

After watching Acker run around and face guard Kyle Mcalarney for an entire game, I'd say that Acker is in pretty good shape.
