Title: Game viewing Sunday in the Cities
Post by: Eye on February 26, 2009, 01:31:50 PM
I will be at a wedding in western Minnesota Saturday night, and need to get back to Wisconsin for a banquet Sunday night, so looking for a place in the Cities to watch Sunday's game. Is there anyplace in the Cities where MU fans consistently gather to watch games? If so, please pass it along. Thanks in advance for any advice anyone may be able to pass along.

Major's in Golden Valley or Alary's in St. Paul. Check it out here:

The MU alumni Web site is a pretty good place to check for game-watching parties nationwide. Check for a club in the city you're visiting. We've had visitors show up at our parties in KC.

You're going to two of the most overrated cities in the country so plan on watching in a chain in the 'burbs.  For a city that portends to be the Seattle of the Midwest, there sure are a lot of Champp's.

Thanks gentlemen. Thinking it's going to be the one in Golden Valley; only a few minutes out of the way of the planned route I was going to take back to WI.

For our newer poster, bump means you want to get the topic bumped back to the top of the list of topics (if you're reading them in order of most-recently posted) so that your topic has a much better chance of being seen by more readers.

?? If thats your criteria then I guess so.  You won't find to many chain restaurants in the CITY.  As for the Seattle of the midwest, what does that even mean?

Why the bitterness?

Did Minneapolis steal your girlfriend or something?

Technically - it started as abbreviation for "Bring Up My Post" - however, it's now common to "bump" other people's posts in the manner you described.
