They have only beat 1 team of the top 6 BE teams. AND it was a UConn without a Dyson...
We can play that game with anyone.
seems like Marquette always gets that talking point about not beating anyone good yet.
Don't forget, we beat Pitt last year at home pretty handily (behind a big game from Ousmane albeit) and played them close at the Garden. Marquette should have plenty of confidence agains this Pitt team.
I dont remember playing them close at the garden. If I can remember right we were down by about 15 the whole game and made a small push to get to single digits before getting put away.

You can't say that, some posters here will imply that you are being passive-aggressive and somehow slamming UCONN and Buzz at the same time :o

MU lost 68-61 -- trailed by just four with 7 mins to play and 3 with about a minute left.

yea - it was close all game, and we didn't get too much help from the zebras if I remember correctly...
not Providence..... :)
that game was nuts! I'm glad ESPN cut away to show the end of it. I wouldn't have believed the score otherwise.
They won at 23/25 Florida State, home vs Syracuse, swept West Virginia, at 2/2 UConn. Losses are at 6/6 Louisville, at 10/12 Nova and at Providence.
Last night was their first loss to someone who is not currently a top 12 team. They have a nice resume.
Did Pitt have any players from NYC?
not really so much who has pitt beat, but up until last night, who had pitt lost to? they most certainly did not lose to lowly south florida, a fringe top 25 team like dayton and a fading, possible non-ncaa team like tennessee. the doors swings both ways...your record is both wins and losses. they are ranked where they should be, and so is MU, in my opinion.
I looked at their resume and it's somewhat strong, but not all that impressive really. At Uconn was clearly a dominating performance and showed how well they CAN play, but I mean sweeping WVA isn't much to write home about, Syracuse isn't exactly as good as they've been in the past. And FSU just lost again last night as well. I don't see that strong of a resume... not enough for a 1 seed at least.
Winning at WVU is an excellent win. I think we would have a tough time pulling one out there.
A win at WV would be our best win this year. Better then Nova at home.
Pitt is one of the top 5 teams in the country.
We are a very good team. We will learn how good in the next 4 games. If we go 2-2 and in the 2 losses we play well nobody can argue that we are not deserving of a top 10 ranking this year.
